    Hi Tracy, I'm fairly new to tangling (just a few months in) and I am so excited to have just found your amazing KZread channel! So far, your channel is the best one I've found to help me along my Zentangle learning journey! You are an excellent teacher! I just subscribed to your channel, am planning to watch every Zentangle video you have made, and I hope that you are still making new videos. Shading was one of my greatest tangling challenges until watching this tutorial. Your 7 tips are extremely helpful and your instructional method is wonderful. At the moment, another big challenge I'm dealing with is how to fit patterns I have learned within strings of different sizes and shapes. Thanks again for all you do!

  • @TracyAnneWilkinson

    @TracyAnneWilkinson

    2 жыл бұрын

    Some patterns are easier than others. Take it one step at a time. Following tutorials will help. If you go to the website tanglepatterns.com/ you will find a whole heap of patterns and a link to their step out. A step out is a diagram which shows the steps to creating a pattern. Practice doing some of these patterns starting with the easier ones. I found that following someone else helped in the beginning. Once you become more confident you will start to have a go at putting the patterns together.

  • @TracyAnneWilkinson

    Glennys Weiss it will come eventually. Keep copying and practicing. Try some challenges. Eni Oken has a wonderful free app called art raffle. You uncover random tangles and challenge yourself to use only these in your creation. I did another video called ‘finding inspiration’ where I use the spinner from one of Zentangle’s project pack. There are lots of Facebook groups that offer challenges. Or simply visit tanglepatterns.com, pick a few patterns and challenge yourself to use these in a composition. The main thing is to enjoy what you do. If you are getting pleasure in creating, even if it is copying then there is no harm in that.
