Zentangle Basic Elements with the patterns OCSIDOT and DICSO
In the latest blog post from Zentangle, Rick and Maria discussed the basic elements of the Zentangle Method. They’ve often said that if you can write your name, you can draw Zentangle. The basic elements are a dot, a line, a C curve, an S curve, and an Orb. It is also known as “icso” and in today’s video I decided to show two patterns that are based on using those elements. Of course, all patterns use these elements, but these have the elements in the name and they are fun pretty patterns.
OCSIDOT is from CZT Sandy Kelley-Jones and DICSO is from CZT Mina (Ping-Min) Hsiao and I tried to find a creative way to combine them on a tile. These are both fun patterns, I hope that you enjoy the video.

Barbara, this has really helped me! It gives me an exercise to do for muscle memory. I am a true beginner and need all the help I can get. We all have to start somewhere, and I like the beginning. It makes more sense to me.😊 thank you for this tutorial.❤❤

Thank you. 🥰
I found dicso very difficult to do. Not sure why. I cant get the dimensions to work together. Its either too fat or the dots and lines are too short and the orbs are too big.
