I didn't manage to get Nekomata, Koleda, Soldier 11, or Lycaon. Had a friend record Lycaon in training for me, and used story missions to get footage for the other 3. But i think it came out fine. Showed out combat with basic attacks, heavy attacks, specials, and ultimates. I also showcased idle animations for most characters. Miyabi is not in this CBT2 as she was the most overused in the last beta. She was purposefully removed for this beta so other characters get some playtime. So had to use beta footage from last beta. When you think about it, Hoyo really came full circle. First it was Honkai Impact and its character action inspiration, then Genshin Impact was their breakout hit for the open world genre. After doing a turn-based rpg with Honkai Star Rail, they're kind of going back to their roots here. It's quite awesome.

What's more interesting is ZZZ is their first IP without a clear inspiration. HI3 was anime Bayonetta, time slow on dodge was present for many characters. Genshin is anime BOTW. ZZZ is just its own thing tho, which is cool!

I don't know why, but there's something so satisfying with Corin simply holding a spinning saw blade in the enemy's torso and watching sparks fly as their bodies convulse helplessly.

So. An interesting design theme I've noticed between our three maids and our wolf butler is not only them just being maids and butlers, but their horror theme as well. One girl has a stitched up bare and is coated with bolts, like Frankenstein monster. The other is a very aquatic theme. Possible a node to Creature from the Black Lagoon or JAWS considering her design has sharks. The electrical girl, from her posing, floating and having two floating dolls is a nod to ghosts, specters, possessed dolls and so on. And finally. For our certified good boy. I think it's clear that he's a reference to werewolves. Lol

Hi, I've been playing Ellen and Lycaon all beta. Here are things not shown: Ellen: When running she enters a stance where she goes super fast (like Yelan from Genshin). If you hold attack to come out of the stance she charges her attack, opening her weapon like scissors. This gives her 3 stacks (seen under HP). Stacks turn her normals to Ice Damage. Lastly, when her energy bar under HP is FULL - her skill changes where dashes in a circle attacking with ice. Von Lycaon: When normal attack, you can hold the attack button and Lycaon charges making his attack turn to Ice and deal more damage + daze.

Billy gives massive Dante energy. In fact the whole game reminds me alot of DMC with how fluid the combat is. Im going to play the fuck out of this on release

Things in this game are a little more urban futurism aesthetic so it would probably be an automatic crossbow or something

If i ever get my hand on this game, Billy is go to be my go-to man for sure

Thank you for this video. Really looking forward to this game since a year ago. Currently have my eyes set on Rina, Nekomata, Lycaon and Grace. Four of them have the fighting style i like which is fast, got AoE and with style! Can't wait for it's release next year!

Crazy Speed and Crazy Quality!

Billy is the example of when you maxed agility and acuracy stats.

I hope we get an acrobatic giant ringblade or dual chakram character.

I'm not into anime and especially games with it but man... this game's styles bringing me back and giving me early Playstation 2 game vibes. Those were some awesome games back then. I'm definitely checking this game out.

Been playing the Beta as well, and I really like Ben and Nekomata, sad that Ben can't dash dodge that well tho

Assuming they are all standard characters and if we will be able to get one of them early on, I'll try to aim for one of Miyabi, Lycaon, Grace and Nekomata. Those are the ones that look the most fun to me

If this is the beta version of the game....then i cant wait to see the full & completed version! As for characters Ben & Soukaku are my faves, with Billy & maybe Geace being close second.

Something i noticed is that every character has its own footstep sound. Anby footsteps sounds like shoe footstep, and Nicole footsteps sound like boots. There isn't much ganes that have this details

Soukaku’s animations reminds me of the great sword from NieR Replicant

By the way, seems like up to CBT2 Soukaku was a wind element, the effects were windy and damage was green instead of blue. Glad they changed cz i love awesome haha, but makes me think that either the removed an element in the game or will add later on.
