"Ndukauba! Gotenks is a Defense type! He's not supposed to deal damage!" That is completely irrelevant. Just because they are a specific type does not make them immune to not being able to effectively damage the opponent. Dragon Ball Legends is *BEYOND* the point of having 1 Trick Pony units, and Gotenks is no exception. Just as a Sparking unit in general, he should *NOT* be dealing damage akin to a Hero unit... There are even EX units who can deal out more damage than him... This unit is 100% not justifiable to be dealing damage like that whatsoever, so he's 100% purely a bench unit.

It's so weird to have 3 yellow Defense type units for Majin Buu saga Z, and 2 of those 3 are really good units. Those 2 being Zenkai SSJ2 Goku, and Ultra Super Vegito. This Gotenks, on the other hand, doesn't in the slightest replace Vegito on that team at all. He's the first truly bad Zenkai of the year.

This title alr got me worried 💀💀

I can understand he's a support type, but I personally think he should do at least a decent amount of damage, nothing meta breaking, but just a good enough amount

They really did ssj3 gotenks dirty. He maybe a defense type but he's also a sparking, he should be doing viable damage with the zenkai buff he got. I've seen extreme units do more damage than SSJ3 gotenks. Extreme whis for example is still a viable extreme unit

Ndukauba, I do not know if you have seen it yet but Goresh released a guide for the new arts boost system. It is interesting that while *heavy strikes* will not happen in PvP, the stats boosts from boosts the arts card level *_will_* apply in PvP. So, units will begin to hit harder in PvP if they have had their arts boosted. Also, Special boost does not work the way that I thought it does. It actually affects a characters *Melee & Blast Defense* instead of their special move damage which is strange.

People need to stop expecting these non LF zenkais to be good😤😑

Gotenks does less because 1. Defense Type (and b4 u come at me with the G4 nonsense, he's an LF with a Plat, Gotenks is not) 2. His main point is to get that ultimate out and faint someone so you can get a free kill 3. Not every unit has to be purely amazing, Buutenks is a wonderful example. SSJ2 Goku also has a zenkai with somewhat low damage, but he also is meant to tank. 4. Also in the Video, Gotenks isn't at his full potential since not the entire team is providing him offensive buffs since he also benefits from Hybrids as well. 5. Equipment, pretty self-explanatory. 6. On top of not being an offense character, many of the meta-revelant units have quite a bit of sustained damage cut and defense, not to mention their team composition and equips, so it's not like they're gonna take loads of damage from a defense-focused character.

@@jgoofy8233 But based off of your logic, Super Buu shouldn't be able to deal damage either because he's a Support type, and yet, he can... It is entirely possible for units to serve more than one purpose. It is also possible to revamp units to enable them to serve more than one purpose, and we've seen the Legends team do that multiple times (the most recent example being Shallot). There is no justifiable reason as the why Gotenks is dealing damage that miniscule, regardless of what type he is. He should be able to deal at the very least *AVERAGE* damage befitting of a Sparking unit. On top of all of that, when he has to compete against the likes of Ultra Super Vegito, Tag Trunks and Vegeta, and even LF Future Gohan, in which he fails in every possible regard, except for one (making the opponent faint). This unit's only use is to stay on the bench. That's it
