6 months before we left for the states, my father and I drove from Kiev to Kaunas on his Zaparozhets to say goodbye to my grandmother and uncles. We had a dual cassette boombox in the back seat. We played this whole album a few times during the trip. This song reminds of the last time I got to see my homeland.

The last group of refugee ships pass by, and the station/last ship exchange salutations, with good wishes shrouded with tear and upcoming fear. The station master sees the leaving trails of flame, then looks to the last patch of green left on earth, and he thinks.....just thinks....

the production quality of this song is stellar. I am a guitarist/basist and i think the way the drums sound in this song are the best i have ever heard. I know nothing about drums, but i do know i love these. The other instruments are the vocals are also exceptional but the drums stand out the most to me. There are few songs that come close to this level of excellence and "Pink Floyd - Time" is one of them. Heart - Barracuda, could be another...

no ja też ździwiłam się że w wilku i zającu to po polsku leciało jak chciałam to na yt znaleźć to poprostu napisałam a ziemia tak daleka tak i nie było a potem się dowiedziałam że ona się nazywa trava u doma a jak chciałam posłuchać to po rosyjsku to jest nawet jak napisałam trava u doma po polsku

the production quality of this song is stellar. I am a guitarist/basist and i think the way the drums sound in this song are the best i have ever heard. I know nothing about drums, but i do know i love these. The other instruments are the vocals are also exceptional but the drums stand out the most to me. There are few songs that come close to this level of excellence and "Pink Floyd - Time" is one of them. Heart - Barracuda, could be another...
