Zelenskyy fires top officials for collusion with Russia | DW News

Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelenskyy has fired two senior officials - the chief of the domestic security agency and the top state prosecutor.
Zelenskyy cited hundreds of criminal proceedings against their office's employees - including cases of treason and collaboration with Russia. Neither Ivan Bakanov, the now former spy chief, nor Iryna Venediktova, the country's ex-prosecutor general, have commented. The decision comes as Ukrainian and British military officials claim Russian forces are regrouping and preparing for their next offensive in both eastern and southern Ukraine.

Ukraine is already an established independent nation, but in many ways this is their war for independence akin to the American war for independence over 250 years ago. In that struggle, Washington's spies were superior to those of the British crown. I like to think the same is true in the present struggle against tyrrany. That does not mean Putin is weak or uninformed, it just means that those fighting for freedom have to be stronger with even better intelligence.

The Ukrainian Moral is skyrocketing, while Russian rockets have a 13% succesrate of targeting military targets, but a 100% succesrate on targeting Civilians. There is no Ukrainian left who didn’t lose someone because of their lands being invaded. The Ukrainians were always known for their fearsomeness, their brutality, their thirst for blood.
