Soon after first getting to my first stable, I captured a black and white horse who I registered under the name Oreo. It's only then that the stablemaster told me they still had my BotW horses. The first of those, who I had forgotten about, was a black and white horse named Oreo. I guess I'm consistent in my naming

The most important side quest is going to Hateno Village and helping that farming family up the hill on the way to the Lab. Cause then you help people invent cheese in hyrule for the first time and you can make the first pizza. Which would be historically one of the most significant things Link has ever done.

I'd say if you want to experience the story in a semi-organic way, you should head to a geoglyph, find Impa, then go to the Forgotten Temple that she points you to. It'll give an in-game map to the geoglyphs, and tell you which order they go in to experience the Tears of the Dragon memories in chronological order. There's no tough fights, just exploration, discovery, and a lead to the best revelations not detailed in the main questline.

I'd argue one of the most useful things to find in the early game isn't a side quest at all, but instead finding the numerous maps to key features of Hyrule that are present if you look for them. So far I've found at different points: a map of the major population centers (in the Emergency Shelter of Lookout Landing), a map of the geoglyph locations (back of Forgotten Temple), a map of Yiga Clan strongholds (in any Yiga stronghold you might run across), a map of Cherry Blossom tree locations (present in a number of stables), and map of all stables in Hyrule (on the table in front of Traysi in the Clover Gazette). You can take a picture of these maps and keep them in the Purah Pad to reference whenever you need to. It can make polishing off a number of side quests much easier.

Second this, specifically, but it's a symptom of a bit of a larger focus here. You NEED to go to Rito Village FIRST in the story. The game sorta' funnels you there like BoTW does with Zora's domain, but in a much less active way. The Lucky Clover Gazette is mandatory for unlocking any fairy fountains, and you will likely miss Hestu if you do not follow the road into Tabantha plains first. The Rito quest is also just the best to start with, since I find the dungeons don't scale very well with story in this game despite being able to be completed in any order.

Most recipes are like that in These games, greens in a specific recipe can usually be replaced by any herb to make a similar unique recipe, same with fish, mushrooms, and fruit. The things you CANNOT replace are things like salt, butter, milk, cheese, meats are unique in that replacing them is unlikely to change the effect, but almost certain to change the name and recipe unless you change only the "tier" of the meat(regular meat, prime, gourmet, as opposed to the bird meats which do have their own tiers, or fish meats, or crab meats). Edit: flowers also tend to replace herbs unless called out.

Plus, you can also visit Zelda's house (formerly Link's house in Breath of the Wild). Talking to Cece while wearing the Hylian hood also lets you change its appearance so Link has the hood down like in the game art. Once you finish Gerudo and Zora, there are side quests there that will give you the strongest spear and the strongest sword. Combined those with a silver Lynel Horn and you will be killing stuff left and right quick. If you are near breaking them, go to Tarre town and separate them, attach them to a low level weapon or shield (cause they are legendary and legendary can't be fixed any other way), and have the Octorocks near Death Mountain eat them and spit them back at you fixed... @@hearforthemusic9814 I would highly recommend checking out the Gerudo Scimitar, or really any other Gerudo weapons since they all have the same effect (but the scimitar speed is way better). They double the attack power of any attached item, meaning that a silver Lynel Horn's 55 atk+ ends up adding 110 atk+. It's pretty crazy. And they're repairable, as well as buff-able with the octorocks. Pro-tip, go to the depths under Gerudo town to find the primo Gerudo weapons for even more damage. Side note, you can do the Gerudo quest to unlock the Scimitar of the Seven, which has the same doubling effect, is a bit more powerful, and way more durable) but you have to attach it to a non-legendary weapon to repair it, which makes it slightly annoying.

I love you singing Poe Poe Poe from the Austrian Eurovision Act ❤. I did also whistle the song during my Poe hunts. A side-quest I really liked was in South-East at Lurelin village that is taken over by enemy’s, and the people did abandoned the village. And it was your task to restore peace and build up the damaged houses. Great video, loved it 🥰

here's a quick tip for upgrading armor or healing gloom hearts: When you find a sky island where sundelions are if it has a lot of them go to the map and mark it with the leaf stamp and go back when you're running low or just want to make sure you have enough. Hope this helped 😊
this is how you do comedy during commentary and NOT be annoying its short, quick and doesnt impede the info itself, so you can easily listen without being frustrated by nonsense banter thank you for being aware of the audience

I highly recommend hunting down the Yiga armor early game. Access to the Yiga Clan Hideout leads to quite a few unique gibs: the Earthwake technique (think the attack that Blademasters use), the Lightning Helm (a replicated version of the Gerudo relic that negates Lightning damage completely), and eventually a free Eightfold Longblade (untainted!). It's also a good way to get stealth armor without spending rupees or extreme exploration, like the Evil Spirit armor from the Lomei Labyrinths. Speaking of, I highly recommend that side quest as well.
Unexpectedly useful quests were the mayoral quest line in Hateno. Unlocks a new ingredient item that allows you to make pizza! (Also gives you a hat, but pizza > hat.) Named my golden horse El Dorado (literally "the gold" but also has some lore in there). 💛

A little side note/addition to the hero helmet hunting section, by wearing the helmet, if you've completed the main story quest for that region your partner will also be wearing said helmet. Also, apples! you can also feed the stable dogs fruits like apples if you're trying to be a little stingy on your meat supply!
Honestly thanks for making this, I’ve been so overwhelmed and scatter brained on what to do and haven’t completed much because of it

13:15 You still get like 20 Rupees (I believe in a full total) upon opening every single treasure chest in that cave (including the ones hidden under veils of dirt or buried in the floors and walls) along with finding the actual Misko Treasure Chest. The brothers gave up way too easily, in my opinion. That's what I did at least; feed Dog Meat some food and got led to the right chest, then opened every single other chest the brothers didn't open up and took every single green rupee for myself. Oh well, finders keepers. :P

When I landed I Hyrule I immediately got distracted by shiny things and didn’t get my glider for hours, to the point where I was very frustrated with the game for removing the convenient mobility from the previous entry. My recommendation: head to lookout landing to unlock the glider and the sky view towers (as well as half these quests) right away!

It's easy enough to find the island of courage.. but there are three, for a full set of glider gear. You can typically make them out by the tall arrangement of ring-shaped islands at each site. They do not appear to slow your fall except in an updraft, but they vastly improve horizontal movement speed while gliding. You may not need all three pieces to get a comfortable speed, HOWEVER... Upgrading the full set to level 2 unlocks the set bonus "Impact Proof". As the name suggests, this makes you immune to any and all fall damage while wearing the full set at this upgrade level. Great for if you don't sweat defense too much but like the freedom of being able to land anywhere without deploying the glider.

@@justinbuergi9867 It costs quite a few keese wings and some aerocuda eyes to reach level 2 on the full set. Be sure to kill all the aerocuda you see. It may also help to know you can buy them 3 at a time in Kakariko.
I called the Golden Horse Aura. Also to add an extra thing going and getting the scanner upgrade is extremely useful, seems obvious but there's some particularly good ways it can help, if you're worried about gloom hands for instance once you get the camera you can fight the gool hands by throwing bombs at them, since all the hands need to be killed at close to the same time and then take a picture of the thing that spawns when they all die, if you set the scanner to that thing then congratz you now have an early warning system for when you're near gloom hands. This also works for Yiga though their ambushes are often more obvious. And in terms of making sure you don't miss things it's very useful to set it to treasure chests while you're exploring sky islands as many chests are dangling on vines around the side of islands and so can be easy to miss. And of course when you're exploring a cave usually the bubbulfrog will be easy to find but occasionally you may need to set the sensor to bubbulfrogs to help you find it.

Super helpful tips! Thanks so much, Ellen!!
It's not a quest, per se, but it's worth visiting every mine in the Depths that you can. They all have some kind of treasure, either crystalline charges to directly upgrade your battery or armor bits, and there's generally tons of Zonaite around for further scavenging.
I cheesed a whole main quest by exploring sky islands and following a beam, so yeah i get how easy it is to cheese stuff in that game

I gave my horse the name Hylia to match its golden sheen (I know Hylia wasnt one of the 3 creator golden goddesses, but the name just fits better for a horse meant specifically for zelda)
For the porridge quest, the greens refers to any herb or flower, you can make the porridge without the hyrule herbs and use the sundelions as a substitute. Also, I gave the golden horse pink hair and named it fluttershy.
that cave discovery method is such a great find. thanks!
I name all my horses in Hawaiian (it’s a practice my family does with our pets in real life), while my main horse is named Hina (short for ʻAhinahina or Grey because of his long grey hair), I named Zelda’s horse “Wai Kula” which is effectively the word for Gold (it’s more along the lines of “valuable”, but it works)
@littlekingofthebirds
Жыл бұрын
kula alone is the hawaiian form of the English word "gold", but it also has other meanings, like field, or school, but especially when paired with other words, like wai, which is fresh water. waikula does not translate to "gold water" or even "valuable water". the closest is waikulai which means flood.
You don't need Hyrule Herb to make Sunny Porridge - the Sundelion acts as your 'wild green' You also don't need to buy Hylian Rice, you can just cut tall grass around water (I also don't buy milk, I trade acorns for it in Hateno Village) I had no idea Josha's continued quest led to Autobuild, however, since I have yet to follow through with any of the regional quest lines I don't feel like I cheesed getting Autobuild, though. I got it when I was riding my horse by the Great Plateau, saw the old gate entrance was bombable, stopped to bomb it, got the quest from the Bargain Statue, and fell off a cliff in the Depths while doing that quest line and discovered the Yiga at the Great Abandoned Mine

Another useful quest if you need money : there's a guy in kakariko that will give you 100 rupees for a picture of the hylian text on the little star sky islands. There's 13 of them according to the quest log.
I tried to see if anyone had mentioned it already (apologies if I missed it somewhere), but you don't have to feed the dogs meat! You can feed them any food, like 4-7 apples and it'll get them to lead you to a nearby treasure chest at any of the stables too :)
That Satori/cave trick is so incredibly useful!
Out of all the comments I've been seeing on this video, I'm surprised that none of them have this simple correction to the vid's advice: You don't actually have to give meat to the dog in order for it to lead you to treasure. You can just give it some apples, to get the same effect. Apples are far easier to get, especially if you've visited Satori Mountain, near the Shrine on the northeast side. Also, advice on picking apples fast & easy: once you've obtained Autobuild, you can stick a bunch of apples together, then go back into your Autobuild menu to your recent build of those apples, & click Favorite on it. From then on, whenever you click the Autobuild for apples, it'll pick all the apples within the purple area, & you can move that area around, too. Then, once you've got the apples in your Autobuild grasp, there's no need to click Complete on the Autobuild--simply cancel it, & they'll drop to the ground in front of you. This helps quite a lot, especially on Satori Mountain, where you can easily rack up over 100 apples from 1 Grove. Speaking of Satori Mountain, on the southwest side of it, there's a quaint little Grove with water around it. It's the best place to gather up a lot of Blue Nightshade & Silent Princesses, as well as Summerwing Butterflies (if you kill the octorocks before you get there, & have the sheikah armor set equiped, so they don't get scared away too easily), as well as a few Endura Carrots, & some other bugs & animals. You can come back to this spot after every Blood Moon to gather up more, same goes for the apples. Speaking of Octorocks, the Rock Octorocks found on Death Mountain will renew the durability of your weapons & shields, if you drop them for it to suck up. It'll also give it a new buff. Each Rock Octorock will only do this once per Blood Moon, so it's best to kill them with an arrow as soon as you see the sparkles. Watch out, they'll spit the Weapon back out & hit you if you don't get out of the way, or kill them in time. It's too bad they won't get rid of the Decay, but you can get an undecayed version of every common weapon down in the Depths, if you look hard enough for the ghostly figures holding them on top of piles of rocks. 3 Rock Octorocks can be easily found along the rail tracks next to & north of the Shrine on the east side of Death Mountain. There's also a couple north of the Goron Town Shrine & north of YunoboCo headquarters, & west of the Goron Restaurant area. There's also 1 or 2 near each Hotsprings on the mountain. I suggest marking these spots on your map where they spawn, because they'll always spawn there, every Blood Moon. Also, did you attach something to a weapon or shield that you wanted to attach to something else? For a mere 20 rupees, you can talk to Pelison in Terry Town to have him detach them safely, so you can reuse & re-fuse those items again. It's an excellent way of keeping the attached item, just in case a weapon or shield is about to break, & you can't find a Rock Octorock to renew its durability (or if you've already killed them all, & have to wait for the next Blood Moon).
Doing the school quest hateno village let’s you grow your own farm
Would think the school quests would be an important one to do with the extra reward you get for finishing them.
Note about the divine beast helms, when you wear it, your sage spirit will wear the helmet their ancestors did (which is the zonai version of the same helm)
