My theory is that their names are the same as the divine beasts, the beasts were named after the sages protecting that land at the time and were also the pilots of them in the imprisoning war

@@oasis141 Yeah, the divine beast is named after ruto, as well as naboru (oot), darunia (oot), and medli (ww), but this is a different place in time from them, possibly a different timeline as well, so it’s safe to assume that the first champions of the divine beasts got the their respective divine beast named after them, (aka) the sages, but this is just a theory

Still weird that all the Divine Beasts and anything Sheikah related just up and disappeared. I assume the Sheikah just hid all the shrines away, maybe they buried themselves underground since shrines also just emerge from the ground. Same with the towers.

One popular theory is that Zelda ordered for all Sheikah technology to be dismantled since they were the reason Hyrule was decimated by Ganon.

Apparently they said somewhere that they disassembled all of them to make it so if he ever comes back Ganon won't be able to take control of them. It might not be true but a lot of people have been saying that.

Thank you for this. My urbosa amiibo stopped working and I was really worried I wouldn’t be able to get a full set of the divine helms

without the ancient armor set, these helmets look pretty bad. they should've made the zonai helmets the sages wore to go together with the zonaite armor

Naboris' was a favorite in BotW but only with full ancient gear.

Pro Tip: The Cave with the TON of boulder taught me. DONT use Bomb Flowers SAVE them. Use Rock Hammer ( Swords with rock our boulders) ONLY THROW them! This will give you a TON more use and destruction towards Rocks! Also in that cave when it finally breaks. There will be plentiful claymores

@tacodabcat So no What? Did you try throwing fused boulders with Sword? because throwing them will get you more use before breakage. You won't have use your bomb flowers as well. If you have Yunobo. You can use his charged attack as well.

I noticed that when someone got the Vah Medoh Helm, the Tulin Aspect also wore a helmet. Does that increase attack power, cooldowns, or anything? Or just an aesthetic change?

If you have and are wearing their respective helms, each aspect will wear the helmet their ancestor wore. I think its just cosmetic.

Did some Npc explain how they removed the guardians, divine beast and sheikah shrines after botw? The only place is found that has guardian remains at the Hateno lab.

I mean after after all the things that went down with the sheikah tech (Guardians, the divine beast and even ganon itself taking sheikah tech to have a physical form) i would dismantle all that ASAP...

Hope the DLC is about this tbh. If not then we can speculate that all Divine Beast, Towers and Shrines are dismantled in fear of Ganon taking over again. Also before you say that the Divine Beasts returned to soil, remember that the Shrines and towers were also missing so it's safe to say my first speculation is the on-go idea. P.S. them being dismantled is also supported by the end Botw (if you collected all memories), Zelda mentioned going to Vah Ruta with Link because it suddenly stopped moving so it makes sense that them will be dismantled because what else are their purpose?

​@@jayq2571 I have a theory about what might happen to the Sheikah towers and shrines. In BOTW, when Link activates the Great Plateu tower, all of the other towers across Hyrule started to emerge from the ground. And, according to King Rhoam (as the Old Man), all the shrines began glowing (and most of them possibly emerged as well) at the same time the towers rose up. Maybe, if the Great Plateu tower is deactived, the other towers and the shrines might be deactived as well and going back to the ground.

@@Mrempoleon100 even so this only takes place a few years at best after BoTW. even graciously assuming the towers and shrines just sunk back underground, there is a ridiculous amount of guardians and sheikah wreckage scattered around hyrule. no way could they get rid of all of that so quickly. Ganondorf himself is also at odds with BotW. This seems to be this incarnation's first encounter with Link and the Master Sword. If so what exactly does that make Calamity Ganon? Two different Ganons roaming around now?

Some of the chasm entrances are located on places where shrines could be found in btow, maybe it has something to do with all the islands appearing and the chasm turning accesible

Is there an armour piece that has the same effect as the helms have on tulin, Sidon, yunobu and rijus spirits for mineru

The fact that the Sages were wearing these leaves me confused. How could the Divine Beasts exist when the Sages were alive if they were built to fight Calamity Ganon?

Those helmets are possibly some form of ancient worship, and the divine beasts are reflecting those. I mean it didn’t make much sense in the first one to have a camel and an elephant in the team, but if it’s some kind of 10000 year long worship, it would make more sense

Even the Champions aren't mentioned much either which is odd because the post credits scene in BoTW mentioned Zelda wanting to comfort the Zora King and also noted that Ruta stopped working pretty much makes that "secret" ending pointless tbh

I'm 99% sure that TotK is prequel to BotW. There is no trace of Sheikah ruins at all but: There is Purah Pad that looks like prototype of Sheikah Slate. There are also lookout towers that look like prototype of the ones from BotW. There is a steward construct in shrine of ressurection that might be responsible for building it in the future. There is no sign of divine beasts other than these helmets that are worn by sages and may be an inspiration for divine beasts. Time beyond memory can be either so long ago that no one remembers and also in a future where memory does not reach.

I'm pretty sure that's not correct since in totk they were talking about rebuilding Hyrule and how they were in the process still and how King Rhoam was dead. He was technically alive in the first one and things weren't all destroyed and needing rebuilt. It's more likely people just destroyed any remnants of guardian technology in fear since people destroy what they don't understand or fear.

Sure, that's why there's multiple references to the events of BotW having already happened, and Tulin going from being a very young child to being older now. And Yunobo assuming control of Goron City. And ya know, all these other things....
