You already know how much I love this. By far the highlight of my composing journey. Thank you for loving this character enough to create such a beautiful tribute to him. It feels right. And I'm glad that some of the music I've written because of this character made it in this beautifully crafted video. I'm in awe of your skills in editing and storytelling. Zeke’s journey will always be one of the best character arcs I’ve ever seen and you’ve done an INCREDIBLE job showing why. This was a masterpiece. Truly loved it.

I’m dying 😭 You did so great!! It perfectly shows how much Zeke wanted to redeem himself for Chloe’s death. He gave his life to save Cal & I’ll never get over his death. Also, the parts with Michaela broke my heart, he loved her way too much. Truly a masterpiece.

Amazing video! Zeke's friendship with Cal has been one of my favorite parts of the show. Olive's voice over about how Cal can save everyone but who can save Cal gets me every time, Zeke was always meant to be the one save to Cal.

This is a fantastic video. I might be in the minority, but I think if they bring Zeke back in part 2 it'll undo the symbolism of his arc, I know it wasn't a popular death, but for me, for some reason in felt right.

​@@Ilovehertjes Don't get me wrong, I love the character, so if he comes back, I'll be happy - but the way I see it, saving Cal gave him peace; he died feeling like he'd fulfilled his role, and he finally made up (in his mind) for not being there for his sister. Saving Cal, taking on his cancer (or whatever he did) felt like a natural conclusion to what the character was searching for, and his finding peace before he died felt like the conclusion (IMO) of the character's arc - I always thought when he was brought into the show - he would eventually either save Cal or help Cal reach his full potential. It really felt like he died, at peace, feeling the love of a great woman; I don't see his death as a "sad" ending for him, however, yes it is for Michela, but not for Zeke. Idk if I made a lick of sense.

I get what you mean! And I can totally see that from Zeke's perspective, or at least to a certain degree. Because yes, that is what he expressed in his goodbye speech to Michaela and what he felt in that moment. And that was a beautiful way for him to make up for all the pain he has caused. But I think in another way, it's also him running away from living with the pain. Now, don't get me wrong: this sacrifice had to be made. Cal needed to be alive to save the world, and only Zeke could save him. I'm not denying that. But I think for Zeke's arc to truly come full circle, he needs to live a long life where he no longer runs from the pain. Where there is no "easy out," so to speak. This goes for no longer drinking alcohol or doing drugs, but also no longer trying to sacrifice himself or taking on everyone else's pain without leaving space for his own. His tendency to run from his pain has been such a huge part of him, and I think if he comes back and is able to see that this too isn't good for him, he'll have grown in all the ways he needed to. I totally agree that his sacrifice was an important step for him and in many ways a culmination of his growth, but I do think there's one last step missing before we can say that he completed his character arc.
