Man, I started with the Zeiss 35mm biogon on my M6... focusing was amazing on it. Good memories

I started with the voigtlander 35mm f2.5 color skopar on my m4-2! I used it on my m9 as well! I will probably get another at some point because it was amazingly small! I am currently shooting the 35mm Summicron asph v1 on my mp-240 and m6ttl

I was using this chrome version 50 summilux on M7, M9, and M9monochrome and never experienced any flare issues. Zeiss Distagon is amazing lens. I was blown away with results coming out of monochrome and this distagon. I even tried 35 summilux FLE and never liked results.

It's simply the *best* current 35/1.4 for M-Mount, bar none. Since it's release. I could have bought this Lens new for just 1400 bucks, but since i don't own a Leica, i haven't done so, 2 months ago. The Leica Summilux 35/1.4 ASPH FLE into contrast, is uber-expensive, and does have that "Leica Glow", but not the same kind of 3D Pop and Microcontrast. Leica Purists may seem that different, but many Reviews showed exactly that.

What are your feelings about the Leica M5. I have 2 of them - love the overhanging shutter dial.

I am interested in a M 240 and M-P 240 is the M-P 240 worth the extra money?

I get my second hand zm 35 1.4 today for about $1300 with a round haoge lens hood in China, tested for several pics and really love the rendering of the lens, I dont use the lens hoods though ,since the front of the lens do takes a lot of the viewfinder space, I'm gonna sell my ultron 35 and using my summicron 35 Asph for street photography, best of both worlds. If I could only have one 35, I definitely will keep the ultron 35 1.7, since the lens is an all rounder. I personally like it more than my cron 35 asph I also bought a 7 Artisan plastic focus tab for the zm 35 1.4, I dont know if the tab can be used properly since the lens' focus ring is so stiff, I do not know if it is too cold in winter.

Long but nice video. I like Fuji and Leica and shoot Zeiss glass on both. Fuji X-Pro1 and X-Pro2 mirrorless bodies Leica M6 and M10 rangefinder bodies Zeiss 12mm f/2.8, 28mm f/2, and 135mm f/2 glass on Fuji Zeiss 35mm f/1.4 glass on Leica

Video @ 50:32 "I don't know if they'll even let you - - -" - They do allow them - I use a Super FilmShield lead bag. This assures that they'll conduct a 'handcheck'.

Nice talk! What about that wide open rangefinder focusing video you had plans on in this clip? Have you done that, or is it patreon-material? Bought an M10 2 month ago and like to shot f2 and it works well. Don’t really have the courage to stop down to f1.4 that often 😅

Hi Benj, if you could choose between the 7Artisans or the TTartisan, which one will you grab for your weapon?

Haha I think the TTArtisan has more weight and the hood would add some additional functionality with it’s sharpness... oh did you mean for photography? The 7Artisans was sharper and had more character. The TTArtisan had more of a modern look but wasn’t as sharp in the center as the 7Artisans.

Voigtlander APO lanthars 35 and 50 have NO chromatic aberration 😅👍🏼✨

The zeiss 35 f2.8 is a great lens. However, no lens tab and that ugly front shiny ring is ugly.
