I love when they both realized that building up their labels to be competitors and bringing inorganic material to the world didn't benefit them at all. They subconsciously turned their already-built tension into something far worse: loss of life. Whilst building their brand and competing mercilessly, I feel like they lost apart of themselves, and it even got to a point of where their own company kicked them out. The sense of clarity they had while they looked at their neon-lit buildings and empire status was so beautiful. They saw the damage they had created, and the wall they built. They relinquished their businesses for the sake of building love instead. Alright now I'm gonna cry 😭

A little color theory detail I love in this animation, is the use of Yellow-Purple and Orange-Blue, as these sets use colores that are opposites/compliments to each other on the colorwheel. It's really pleasing to the eye and it kinda works into the theme of Ivan and Evie both clashing but also fitting together in every way.

I remember when I saw this video for the first time, I became obsessed with it and the song and seeing it again brings back very good memories.

Same. Also, I kinda have a story to tell if you don’t mind.... That day 3 years ago, for some reason I really felt an urge to greet my grandfather and say good morning to him. I couldn’t explain why, but I just felt like I should. “One more animation.” , I thought to myself. “Anyway, he’s all the way outside in the shed working on some project or something, so I ought as well take my time to go all the way out there.”, I thought again. My grandfather was outside in the yard working nonstop like he always does. Even if it was 100° outside he would still work on the home or chores he had to do for the day. He’s always been an extremely hard worker. I remember watching this around 3 years ago and in the middle of it I hear my grandmother scream in terror. I pause this video in the middle of it and I zoom out of my room to see her sobbing on the phone and my father is nowhere to be seen, however I’m pretty sure he was outside with my uncle. The next few things are kind of blurry but my dad suddenly comes to the scene and screams at my grandma. She hangs up the phone and she seems hesitant to call 911 but she ends up doing so. I frantically ask what’s going on multiple times but I end up just being shushed and being told to go to my room. I go to my room and I lean against my door to listen on to what’s happening and then I heard my grandmother say, “I think he’s dead. My husband is gone...” and then she bursts out into tears again. I get weak and I almost fall to the floor about to throw up once I hear the sickening news. I get to hear how my uncle drove to the hospital with my grandfather before they even called the police since he was afraid the ambulance would take too long to get there and my grandpa would be long gone before they arrived so he decided it would be best to do it himself. Yeah, he thought it was a good idea to drive my grandpa to the hospital instead of the Ambulance. After everyone calms down and I hear they made it to the hospital I get driven to my mother’s home and I tell her the news. A day later I get a call from my father and he says that my grandfather is in a coma and he should wake up soon. He had a stroke inside of the shed and he was probably in there for a while until someone found him. Another day passes and my dad picks me up from mom and brings me to the hospital to view my unconscious grandfather who hasn’t woken up from his coma yet. We leave after a while of watching him and a day later I get the news. The news was that he passed. I still feel as if I should’ve said good morning to him that day. It was my last chance to ever see him awake and alive but I blew it. Honestly, seeing this video again made me burst out into tears and It just brings back everything that happened.
