It usually gets donated to villages in the nearby area.

They usually stay for a week or more. Which is what my wife and I do on African hunts. The animals we harvest take enough meat to cook up for the week and the rest goes to the chief of the village who then divides it among his people. They use everything from the animal including the bile in the stomach. Not one thing is left even the bones are dried and ground down for soup base or bone broth. It's incredible watching them strip the animal down in minutes. The money we spend on the hunt goes to the conservation of the animals and protection of the animals from poachers. Also, local Vets come to help injured animals and do overall population health checks. They are still wild running wild. It's something you will never forget. We go almost every year or other year depending on the prices at that time

When a man is hungry, meat is what he needs to sustain him.
Even if I had all the $ in the world, I don’t I’d want to shoot a zebra. I do want a wart hog though
The grim reaper is better
It's amazing how people don't realize that hunting actually protects the species (especially when they're tasty)! Just had this discussion with friends about Bison. Criminal that "men" used to shoot (not hunt) them from steam trains and just leave the carcasses to rot (or be scavenged by the American Indians, who used them as a major food source and didn't waste a scrap of them)! Now they are being raised like beef cattle and MAN a Bison steak is awesome! 😋
