Zbrush for the rest of us | Posing using masking
In ZBrush, posing using masking with the transpose line is a technique used to manipulate and adjust the pose of a 3D model. This technique is particularly useful when working with character or creature models that need to be posed in various positions without altering their underlying geometry. The "transpose line" is a tool in ZBrush that helps you achieve this type of posing.
In ZBrush one of the first things we teach is how to mask well. If you learn this it helps you in lots of ways in the future so take your time with that part.

I’m loving this zbrush series - I’ve been working with zbrush for about two years and it’s amazing how many useful tips I’m picking up from these vids that I’ve missed along the way!
I love this series as soon as you drop a sculpt along I'm buying it! You got me hooked on sculpting in Nomad and have been brute forcing ZB for a year. Curious if you have played with proxy pose. I haven't seen a lot of adoption over t master.
Been learning 3d lately, and your videos have been a godsend. But I wanted to ask. Have you still been working in VR these days? I was also curious, for sculpting, you tried em all, but was medium the favourite for you? Thanks!
Once the head and eyes are tilted, can we update the mirror plane so we can keep sculpting the face and adjust eyes in a symmetrical way?

Too bad Zbrush still in 2023 has no way to go back and pose masked parts and keep pivot points. I will not use Zbrush for posing until then.
