If you notice Harry always feels a little awkward when people bring up zayn leaving. I think it's kinda like if one of your best friends kinda left you behind, you'd feel a little betrayed, like your friendship wasn't enough to get them through their tough time that's probably what the boys feel like especially Harry. Don't understand Zayn saying that though.

Frederick Johnson well said, I'm a little bit angry about Zayn leaving One Direction, If he would wait a year longer then they all would had a Break in peace and would started their solos. Zayn leaving the band - that was a very good promotion of his new single, let's be honest, that wasn't fair for the boys. And we can see how they are talking about being in this band. Orange Juice actually he didn't make a mistake he was unhappy in the band and had developed a eating disorder while in the band and had to deal w racial bullying from the media AND he wasn't making the type of music he truly wanted to make and had no creative input on the songs. it's so annoying when ppl r so selfish and r mad at him for leaving the band bc it's not what THEY wanted but are not looking at it from his perspective he finally put himself first and did what made him truly happy and ppl wanna b mad at him for that??? that's bullshit why should someone stay in a toxic situation for the sake of someone else I'm glad he left and got himself sorted out

I always wonder what went through Zayn's head when he made that statement. At this point you ship Zarry or not, you know he was lying! What kind of relationship was he even trying to deny. He auditioned as a solo artist. He was into RnB. He wasnt in the first meeting coz he didnt wanna be in the band. But he was poor and needed money so he did.... His writing and songs weren't gettn accepted in the band... Where was ur outrage when he was racially abused nd profiled on airports and when his creative input was being rejected??? Oh but he should remain meek and submissive when it comes to your white mayo ass fake stale cheese. Reality check. his solid vocals are the reason for ur stadium tours not ur whingy ot4 brats! I feel like after Zayn left the band that left the zarry relationship in scrambles and then they ended up going their separate ways, Zayn now with Gigi and then harry and Louis and so Zayn kind of wants to move past it and forget about it because it's painful to remember so he just lies and says that him and harry never really talked and then harry always gets so awkward and uncomfortable talking about Zayn now because he's in the same position where they use to have something but then somewhere along the line it just all went wrong

They were definitely good friends it’s no lie you can’t just hid behind it. They had years together and now Zayn is trying to ruin the eyes of the fans still hoping that they’ll get back together by saying these things that aren’t true. Harry went through a hard time when Zayn left, he used his microphone for concerts, he ignored every question about him. It’s deeper than “we didn’t talk that much”

I don't think one direction will let him back in the band when they eventually come back even if Zayn wanted to considering he's said so much about it negatively.

When I first heard what Zayn said, I thought, you are so full of it Zayn. We have eyeballs, we saw how well you two got along. If he means they've drifted apart since then and don't talk, then he should have said that. If Harry was upset because of Zayn leaving and the way he left, I totally get it. The other guys were pissed too. He could have waited until after the tour was finished, not leave in the middle of it and everyone having to scramble to figure out who was going to sing his parts, even though Harry and Liam were the obvious choices. I would love to see them mend the fences though. All 5 of them went through something amazing together, and built it all together. ❤️❤️

Mah Edats I agree. If Harry holds a grudge, Zayn won't be back. And I hate to say it, but there's a chance none of them will be back, it all depends on how the solo careers go. I think Harry has the best shot at sustaining his solo success because of that band he put together, the songwriting, that voice and well, you know, HIM. LOL. I think Niall could go for a little while. Not sure about Liam and Louis right now. So far, they have counted on collaborating with other artists for their songs. (I don't like Strip That Down, feels like lazy songwriting, surprised Ed Sheeran had anything to do with that. And it's a waste of a good voice.). I did hear Simon Cowell saying 1D could come back without Harry. I say, no, that will not work. LOL

Well first of all they were so young at the start of it all. It's natural to grow apart from people you used to be close to, particularly at that age. Second, I think Zayn is actually a really sensitive, and private person. Maybe he gives these types of answers in interviews to like protect himself. Also we didn't actually *hear* him say this, it might've been heavily paraphrased. Third, as a fangirl it's easy to feel like you know them. Sure we got to imagine what they were like, but we never actually knew them.

Bad karma for Zayn whose current single only landed at #44 in the Billboard not even beating Liam and Niall singles which have been in the charts for 18 weeks already. More power to the 4 remaining members of 1D. By the way all remaining 30 concerts of Harry this year were all sold out. Even his concert tours in ASIA next year are already sold out since June.

Still zayn is most successsfull... and have already hit #1 pillowtalk and #2 idwlf on billboard hot 100. and Harrys most successfull hit has landed #4 Lol.

Harry just started his solo career this April and his album broke the record of Sam Smith. He is now number one UK artist with highest gross in US billboard in its debut week. All his more than 100 concerts are sold out even in Asia in June next year. His movie Dunkirk is a huge success!

Good thing zayn don't give a fuck about charts then. Please we all know zayn doesn't promote, he doesn't care about all of this, reason why he will never back in 1D. He's an ARTIST not a pleaser singer. Go watch #satisfaction. Nb: Zarry's chilling making virtual baby while ya'll here making silly comparison.
