I have been watching all the Zatoichi episodes for a couple years. Now I have hit the mother load. I binge watch the series. This stories are full of people with poor judgement and no soul.

At the last scene the woman smiles at Otae's tomb because she saw the cover that Otae's brother left and Ichi picked up. It means that Ichi came to Otae's tomb. She finds Ichi's sincerity.

Great actors and stories and it is a masterpiece of internal time. Love the music too, very much ahead of its time.
