    I was born here in the United States, but I still consider myself a Zapotec, both my parents speak the language well, and my grandparents live in Oaxaca.

    Thank you for this beautiful tribute! I love the use of Zapotec and the quiet composition of the entre piece. I teach elementary Spanish, so always include a culture section, and this will be a wonderful way to give the kids (Gr 2-5) a sense of the beauty and breadth of Zapotec culture, past and present!

    basically everything I found, i put in this video . if you google "life zapotec blog" you'll find some good articles about current people's experiences and some history. the zapotec dictionary in the description is cool though (and hopefully accurate!)
