Zante Ep 6 - TOP 5 places to see in Zante Town

In the 6th episode, we cycle to Zante Town and take you round the top 5 things to see in town.
Bicycles were hired from Toni's Cycle Hire in Kalamaki. We paid 10 Euro each for the bikes for 1 day.
We start off in the port of the town and show you a viking ship that caught our attention. On closer inspection, the boat has been painted, making it appear to be made of wood.
From here we begin our countdown starting at the Agios Dionysios Church opposite the port.
We then cycle up to Dionysios Solomos Square and provide some history and insight into the square.
From here we walk through to San Marco Square and stop off for a rather expensive drink.
We then cycle out of town and head up the hill to Strani's Hill, where the Greek national anthem was written.
We finish off in Bohali/Bochali and show you where the castle is and show you the stunning views over Zante Town.

Aww thank you Gavlos, we wish we did have that many but for whatever reason it just doesn't seem to be happening. We've actually taken a bit of time away to try and figure out what's holding the channel back.

As a relatively new KZreadr I can't really offer any advice If you watch the tutorials they say try to upload regularly and at the same time of day. Also asking for people to subscribe on your videos also helps apparently! Have you shared them to the various FB holiday groups? Usually lots of people on there who will subscribe Keep at it

I liked your video guys! I am Greek and I live in a small town, named Gastouni, it is near the Kyllini port, where someone can take the ferry and go to Zante!

My most favourite of places in the world but most people only stay down by the town or the port. I leave a little piece of me every time I visit Litakia and Bochali. Thank you for such a fantastic and informative video gor everyone to see such jewels 🤩

Thanks for doing the Zante Town Tour Jamie & Jaquie. Most people who visit Zakynthos will only see this place when they fly in or out! It really is the Jewel in the Crown for us. Great Video!, I'll definitely be taking my Drone next time!

Me and my sis went to Xante town from Kalamaki - it was a bit of a dull day so didn't look its best - we had a good look around the shops 💙🇬🇷💙 Love looking in churches ❤️ The most hassle we've had on holiday was Turkey - they're relentless lol 😆 also on one of beaches not sure if it was Spain or Greece was woken up asking if I wanted massage 🥴😆 Felt for you at 10 past 3 lol 😆🙄

It's a beautiful town Helena,.wpuld be decent on a night lur around the square there but expensive. The buildings are stunning there, it looks amazing along the waterfront. Yes Turkey was horrendous last time i went, Marmaris. However, when I stayed in Hisaronu before that we got no hassle at all. I did not like Marmaris.

That's why we said they love their Pink Panthers 🤣 Zante is a great place to go for a holiday, I hope you get there some day. Beautiful island.

Thank you Zoe. Pleased you have been enjoying them and apologies for not talking as much. I did have a bad throat the whole time I was there and far from 100% though. I also wanted to get more use of the drone too so there's a lot more scenic stuff on these.

Agios Dionysus did not write Greek national anthem. Dionysios Solomas wrote it a few 100 years later

  • @continentalcoxons

Yes I realised that after watching back, it was a mistake on my part as I had Agios in my head atbthe time when I knee it was Dionysios Solomas that wrote it. Apologies and thanks for pointing out.
