I first stayed in Alykanas almost 40 years ago! There was nothing there, very Greek orientated and Alykes was up and coming. I remember we used to spend most nights at the Golden Dolphin, chilling with the locals and drinking knocking jugs of the local paint stripper. So much has changed i barely recognise it

We first went to Alykes about 40 years ago too and I can remember the smell from the canal! We sat on the almost empty beach and close by was George michael we think. It definitely looked like him. It has changed but I wouldn’t say it has been spoilt. It is still very beautiful x

I went to alykes back in 1999 we stayed at irini studios was beautiful then I bet it’s even more beautiful now has it changed much I’m wanting to go with my own family now but since then I hav converted to Islam is they many options with vegetarian food I’m just wondering as if there’s not much vegetarian option we will really struggle with food and was the holiday reasonably price?pls reply and thank you the videos are so nice😊

Yes there are lots of vegetarian options. Quite expensive flights but cheaper than uk to eat and drink out.

What a lovely holiday destination. Can I ask - do you eat out for all your meals? Have you a kitchen in your accommodation? What is the average cost of an evening meal out? Thank you

Both! Sometimes we eat in or grab a takeaway. Last night our meal for 4 was €65 including wine and dessert. Our accommodation has a kitchenette with two rings, toaster and kettle. Takeaway Gyros is about €4 and their a meal itself. Chicken or Pork with chips and salad in a pitta very scrumptious that’s what we’re having tonight.
