@@hispanoafricana6984 If one lives if the past, then they deny themselves a future. I would hate to live like that. The African people have beautiful cultures and traditions. But I think that lifestyle just may be to hard for them now. They are too westernized. Especially the ones from the big cities. These Zahouli dancers should tour America. You don't have to be African or even have African heritage to want to see them preform. Absolutely amazing! And the costumes are gorgeous.

Mz Tiyahs Gaming & Vlog Your comment shows how illiterate you are to the various African cultures. Voodoo is a religion from Benin. How do you know this religion is wicked? Because your brainwashing from American whites about African cultures you repeat just what white peoples says. I have one ancestor who was from Benin and was from the Weda region of the country and she was from the Ewedan people.

Because we have the original one !!! And nobody is asking you to like it why do you bother to watch it since it is a demon dance you don’t even know what is voodoo you get every thing confused please leave Africans alone worry about your own culture !!!

I very sure the dancer and the drummers do Not rehearse these performances. It’s is all anticipation to the point of being psychic. I know it seems impossible given the near perfection of coordination between them, but I would bet on it. Having watched so many of theses videos, the percussions are similar but very improv. The quick stop and starts are randomly placed. Loved seeing the kids have a go! This fellow with the twin head serpent and yellow face is my favourite. The mask expression is priceless. Calm, humble, joyful.

From what I understand, I could be wrong, this is like jazz. In fact the dancer is like a conductor of the band (mainly drums). They have to adapt to the dance. It is very complicated. To me it seems to be from another planet dancing like this.
