It was a lazy Sunday afternoon, and I was mindlessly scrolling through my Facebook feed when I saw that my ex had changed his relationship status to "in a relationship." It felt like a punch to the gut. We had broken up only a few months prior, and seeing him move on so quickly felt like a betrayal. As I listened to the lyrics, tears streamed down my face. It was as if Zack Tabudlo had written this song just for me. "Bakit ba 'di na lang tayo?" Why couldn't we make it work? Why did he have to move on so fast? The truth is, I was still in love with him. And I couldn't bear the thought of him with someone else. But the more I listened to "Hindi Ko Kaya," the more I realized that sometimes, love just isn't enough. Sometimes, people grow apart, and no amount of fighting can change that. So, I forced myself to let him go. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but I had to try.
