Honestly I think Cody is doing a very good job as Cloud. I was mad when he first replaced Steve but now I kinda like the change.

Cody is better for young cloud but I think Steve works way better as an older cloud so if cloud ever is in another kingdom hearts game I think it should be him

The music building to Cloud's reveal is everything.

And Zack and Cloud would go on to become best bros and have many, many wacky adventures together full of one liners and campy dialogue 🥹

I think Cloud's voice was the best in the game. The voice direction felt half-assed in this game for a remastered. I was expecting it to be more immersive.

If you watch all of the original cutscenes from the PSP version it’s all the same writing. That said people play this for the gameplay,and the writing is still good,but it’s great you can skip cutscenes. It’s not a game you’re always going to want to watch the cutscenes. The new cutscenes that replaced the text boxes are very well done,but the old cutscenes tell you right away this was on the PSP. This is not a bad thing but they stick out like a sore thumb. However this is faithful to the original,and Zack is so much cooler!

Only for me was strange saw Cloud smile and laugfing ? Im sure that meet was the begin a great friendship. Zack was for Cloud not only a great SOLDIER , but a mentor and a friend. In finale Cloud was for Zack his living legasy.

Cloud and Zack's hometowns are in the middle of nowhere with nothing much around. (nibelheim and gongaga are in the boonies) so they wouldn't build a mako reactor in an area that is heavily populated with people (with the exception of midgar as mentioned by zack.)

I'm gonna mod Zack's old VA in. New guy isn't doing it for me.

Damn I just can't stand hearing Zack's voice. It's so mismatched. 😔 The original seiyuus are still voicing these iconic characters in the Japanese dub. Why couldn't the English dubbing just leave well enough alone?

nah because that was genuinely the only thing stopping me from buying the game. it sounds horrible. bringing back the original dub would have taken less time too so i really don't know why they did this lol. his va sounds so.. nasally farm boy. which fits for his background, just not for.. zack

As much as I agree on the constant hate on the voice acting, it won’t stop for as terrible as it is. If it was just bc we only missed the original, then the commotion would’ve died down. Zack got a TERRIBLE new VA and I can’t believe square is moving forward with it

@@mecuriasu I’m sure everyone know that the original cast was replaced since the remake. Why expect the OG cast from Advent Children and others to make a return for this? Of course they’re going to ultilize the remake cast. This guy was late to the party or just forgot.

@@galaxy_kitten95 Except that’s not what he was expecting. He is most likely talking about the vocal performance between the two actors. There could be a number of reasons as to why. Same actor doesn’t equal the same level of performance. Zack’s new voice actor is a pretty solid example of this in itself. His performance in this game seems horrendous, while his last performance (FF7R) is better but unfitting. I do think the voice acting in this scene from both parties seems… awkward (off / something seems like it is missing..) in comparison to the older one.
