i think there could be less editing during story and dialogue scenes but otherwise it's good

Zack and Clouds friendship is probably my favorite part of Crises Core. They did a good job on Zack being a big brother type of figure to Cloud. As for Angeals exposition dump scene I remember thinking okay they really want to be done with this storyline now.

I won't go into spoilers. But, with all the expanded story they're doing with Sephiroth and Jenova across Crisis Core, Ever Crisis, and Dirge of Cerberus, the only thing I'm thinking is they're trying to overcomplicate the lore of Final Fantasy 7.

So for clarification in case your still confused: Yes, project G= Project Gillian. She was implanted with Jenova cells. Afterwards, Genesis was implanted with Gillian's cells. So in a round about way, Genesis has Jenova cells. But because of the manner he was given them he isn't considered the "perfect specimen". Genesis and Angeal are not siblings. Because Angeal was born from Gillian he also has Jenova cells, but unlike Genesis he can absorb traits from his copies, not just pass on his own: " a two way conduit" as Holander puts it. Meaning he can create his own copies, and get stronger from them. In Angeals mind, he is the worst kind of monster because of all this and doesn't have or deserve the honor he always preached about. And he isn't considering himself a member of SOLDIER anymore. That's what his whole existential crisis is about. But, he is hoping for someone (Zack) to put him out of his misery, to "end his own suffering".

Oh this is a real treat. Been waiting for the rest of this stream to be edited, this game is too good.

I think I reacted the same way as Briana the first time I played the scene where Zack meets Cloud. It was somewhat a shock or unexpected but also a bliss, and then I got very emotional. Cloud there looks more innocent, he can genuinely smile and be open and affectionate, and the character instills so much in so little time! And when they laugh together 💖I still get emotional every time I replay or watch that scene. 💖💖💖

I just wanted to say FF 7 came at a very rough time in my life when the original came out on the PS 1. My oldest sister had just been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Our family and lives were in chaos because of it. FF 7 was my sanity lifeboat. Because of family needs I didn’t have time to spend with friends so for the last several years of high school, Cloud and his crew were my friends. My sister survived using an experimental treatment with a medicine called Sandostatin and is now cancer free. Our family recovered but during those times…FF 7 kept me from breaking. I just wanted to say thank you to you and your teammates for doing justice to a game that meant and means so much to my heart.

I like the new "like and subscribe" effects! I've never really mastered 3D modeling, so I'm always impressed by people who have 3D skills. "Pure drivel" ... Hojo's a jerk and a villain, but he ain't wrong (which is of course infuriating). 13:45 Sure, Tseng, blame the pilot. 25:53 I've only heard that kind of complaint in Japan (but then I've never worked restaurants in the US...). I feel like only a shyster attorney would do this in the US, because if it actually happened the local health department would shut the place down. Well, maybe not anymore since they stopped doing that for the pandemic. 32:30 The original FF7 hints at human experimentation as well, but it was in what is arguably a side quest for Vincent in Act 3. And a scene in the Nibelheim mansion after the big turning point.

I thought when she said she was meeting someone very special she was talking about Barret or maybe the voice actor Cloud isn't getting any time with her at least in real life.

I am so glad that you think exactly the same way I do about this game: big plot switches that come out of nowhere that are rather poorly explained...

Zack and Cloud's friendship works so well mainly due to that adorable "big brother, younger brother" dynamic they develop. I have problems with how the story in "Crisis Core" was handled, but that's one thing they absolutely nailed. On a different note... Honest question from a non-native English speaker. Why did the line "Me? Gongaga!" become so popular? This kind of memes are usually born out of iconic lines/performances or "so bad it's actually good" moments, but that line seems to be neither. It's just... serviceable. Does it job well, but nothing more. And before you ask, yes, I'm referring to both voice actors.

So I'm guessing you did this playthrough a year ago but you never got around to uploading the whole playthrough? Also would have been cool to see you do a full playthrough of the original ff7. Looks like you started to do it with Barrett 's voice actor but you only uploaded 3 short videos like 4 years ago and then it stops

Angeal is just like Sephiroth “perfect” having Jenova cells and not degrading. Angeal has humanity, don’t want to cause suffering to others. On the other hand, Sephiroth raged and become manipulated by Jenova. The white wing (Angeal) represents the good side. The black wing (Sephiroth) the bad side. Genesis was in a conflict searching for answers and he got it at the end.

Bri you have to play Ever Crisis: The First Solider. Sephiroth story is so important and it might change him as a character and will surly influence the Remake series of FFVII so pleas give it a try I am sure you don’t want wanna miss it. She is my absolute favorite character in gaming and you just carried her so well and you as a person are really amazing too.
