Tearing up to this song. Reminding me when my ex wife left me and took my son from me because of my coke addiction and when she left it turned into meth addiction. I was under the bridge crying to God for help. 3 years later I have a great job in construction with benefits (despite my felonies) and a beautiful wife and daughter now seeking to try to get my son back in my life now that I'm able to afford lawyers.literally went from sleeping under bridges to building bridges. God gave me grace for 15 years in my drug addiction. He is so good

my Spirit has always been soo humbled by paths such as yours! what i'd really like to convey is that when i left home in the summer of 82, i was told to by the light that Jesus Placed in me(actually All of us, John 1:9! :) my mom pass'd when i was 14 and my Dad handled Her going to Heaven as good as i did... Really Bad! i was so self destructive that i knew that at the ripe ole' age of 22, i knew that i would be very lucky if i made to 30 years old. So, one day in the summer of 1982 i took a walk , a long one! one that made ever step count towards the unknown!? i ended up in front of a navy recruiter. telling him how messed up i was and would it be possible for him to get me into the submarine navy!? now, every time i hear the earthly word "prison", i remember the 8 years i spent a bit ago killing myself wit my anger at the, "Lord, Why did this happen"? Mr Kevin Brown!, we have come out of our ole' selves because of Him! The Only Him!! For His Glory!!! i would say, "God Bless You Sir"... Congratulations on your victory!! I celebrate with you. I guarantee you that your testimony holds power and needs to be shared for God's glory. I love the fact that He meets us where we are and He loves broken ones but I am thankful He does not leave us as He finds us. Your testimony holds the power to set other captives free. The Greek word translation for testimony is "do it again Lord". So each time you tell this story ,you are saying do it again Lord, save someone else like you did me." Meth is the devils drug of choice well done brother, I too was a full on meth addict and Jesus has set me free as well. He's is everything nothing or anybody means more then a personal relationship with Jesus he is perfect.

He loves you always and is with you. So are the folks who also believe he is with them. Find a church online in your area. With Covid now people are reaching out and finding him. Having those people around you when you need a hand or support believe me it helps. It's amazing to hang out with believers. Bless you and keep you and have his face shine on you and give you peace.

I was a kid that would fight, get suspended, smoke weed, vape, and just lived the wrong life. Ever since the start of 2021 i turned my life around fully became a reborn Christian and try my best to live the life of a Christian. “I guess new year new me does exist lol.” Thank God for always being there for me and everyone that prayed for me. I started self harming at 9 years old. I attempted my first of 8 suicide attempts at 11 years old. Ever day I wanted to die. I hated myself and everyone around me. I was atheist I hated religion. I was baptized December 9, 2017. I was 14. Im now 18 years old a firm believer in Jesus and ill be 3 years clean from every addiction October of this year. God is truly so good

I grew up in the streets, the streets raised me and made me a gangster, I was a blood, I sold dope. Been in shoot outs, fights, in and out of jail since age 17, I robbed people and got robbed. I was a drunkard, fornicator, I use to club and pop pills, but i had a encounter with JESUS while in jail facing 5-10 years.. and JESUS made me over again at age 23.. 6yrs later hallelujah I'm still free and born again, JESUS a mighty deliverer bless his Holy name He rescued me! 🙌

Amen brother. People doubt because they think that they have to see or hear before they believe. And its always an easy answer for me. Just sit down out side anywhere and just be quite and sit down and just look all around you and you can see him everything around you would not be possible without him and then you start hearing all the sounds around you hundreds of them or just a few sounds of some birds that is him talking to you letting you know that he is there. And you will feel the breeze of the air or god touching you letting you know I am here touching you. God worked way overtime.so he left all of these things in the world so that we would no by the breeze, sounds, and beautiful world so that we shouldnt doubt. You didn't know that tree was there before you saw it. So was it ever there or did it just appear, no you knew without even hesitating it was there even if you have never seen it before. You believed it. These are all the little things he has left for us so that we would know I am here I am everywhere all you have to do is believe. Even though he isn't speaking out loud for you to hear he is speaking, touching, and feeling his presence for everyone with this beautiful world he has built for us so he could do all these things for everyone everywhere, and not having to answer the same question millions of times a day. Other wise he wouldn't have the time to answer our prayers, and save the people that have asked for his forgiveness, and have no doubt in him. Because he has built this world for that reason he speaks everyday all you have to do is be quite, clear the clutter out of head and you will hear and feel and be able to touch. So there should be no doubt. Alot of people think because he doesn't speak with a human voice, or physically see god that he doesn't exist they don't believe.but he did speak before. Start with genesis and the scripture tells you that he spoke one of the first things, but then there was no need after,because he shouldnt have to. But he did speak to others that is how the bible exist they wrote down everything thAt he had asked these few that were lucky enough to hear him and they wrote down whAT he said to them to spread the word and tell people. That how we have the great stories in the bible from the few people that he talked to and revealed himself to. All you have to do is stop look and listen and he is talking, to us with all the great things he has created. Just my thought and another way of looking at things. .

I was addicted to heroin and other substances. Being an addict took me away from my children and my family for 7 years! When I was still living on the streets I would pray and cry out to God! I would write prayers in any notebook I had and ask God to take this addiction, pain, depression and every other lie enemy was telling me, away from me. Dec. 2019 I went to treatment. God rescued me from a life of destruction and death!

I’m I. Need of deliverance from my Addiction for once I wanT to live…. My relapse and cost me the woman of my dreams and she didn’t deserve to experience pain due to my selfishness please pray for Lovella and I…. Since she left on December 14 i have tried to end it by overdose intentionally and wake up to being revived. God spoke to me and said “How dare you think it’s your life to take, I’m not done with you” my mom passed to drugs when I was 21 I have been so dang broken since that day and I want change

I recently re-gave my life to God. As humans we are prone to failure. Without god in our hearts we are so lost. Everything makes so much more sense when we build a relationship with Jesus. Life has so much more purpose and meaning with God.

I’m a recovering heroin addict. I just celebrated 10 years clean. I couldn’t have gotten to it without Jesus. This song is such a beautiful way to describe the deep emotions felt before addiction during addiction and the emotional relief of getting clean. I get stuck listening to this on repeat for hours and I honestly don’t mind. It’s just beautiful way to describe the growth in oneself when walking with Jesus

My mom passed 2 years ago. Life gas been extremely hard without her. My relationship with Jesus has changed and is more dependent on the Lord and not this world and what others give. Nothing matters more to me than Jesus. He rescued me when I didn't want to be here no more. When I felt like giving up he was there to Picked me up and carry me through. He is constant.

My Jesus, my love, my everything. Was with me while I was overdosing, while my feet ran alone in the dead of night, I was afraid of nothing and I didn’t care about dying. But Jesus kept me safe and he loved me through all my mess. What was I looking for? Love. In my blindness I didn’t see how I could find love in Jesus. Nevertheless he reached for me and didn’t give up on me. It’s been 12 years of freedom and walking hand in hand with him. Drug free, have three precious children and a loving husband. If you have a runaway child, don’t give up on them, never cease praying for them. I had a praying mother and God heard her prayers.

I had a runaway daughter. It started when she was 11 years old. Through prayer and belief in the power of prayer she was brought to a place where she finally gave in to love. She is now married and has a beautiful 4 month old daughter of her own. My first grandchild. We prayed for 17 years for her salvation and deliverance. God is good and He never gives up on anyone.

My first child died 17 years ago. I was a Christian then but only knew of the judgemental God. Through the guidance of my aunt and lots and lots of studying, praying and crying I have a ministry! He turned my mess into a message. God is and will continue to be my Rescue Story.

I watched this video about 5 years ago when my daughter was in prison. Drug abuse has taken its' toll on our relationship but I kept praying. I'd thank the Lord that he is a chain breaker and I asked him to help her. I prayed she would hear Zack's music and turn her life over to Jesus 🙏🙏 Fast forward to 2024 and my daughter is out of prison. She is 5 years clean and sober by the grace of God 💕 She has a job that she has had for about 4 years and she moved into an apartment. She stayed at our house when she first got out of prison and I played worship music. Chain Breaker was playing and she said she had heard it while she was in prison 💗 Thank you Jesus 💗💗💗

Lord rescued me from a life of drugs and crime. Thank you Jesus, wouldn't be here without you 🙌

Jesus you are my RESCUE STORY, FOR those of you who do not know Jesus as your personal Saviour He is your RESCUE story.

He rescued me from sin, He prevented me from taking my own life when I was deeply depressed and just recently, He rescued me from an extremely unhealthy situation. He took me by the hand and delivered me with His mighty hand. To Him be the Glory. I love you, Jesus. Forever grateful and in love with you. ❤️

Before I knew Christ my life was In a dark place. Smoking weed was my solution to everything but after "the smoke cleared" I realized it was a temporary solution and my problems were still there. I joined a chat room full of believers and they helped me through a lot. After time, I wanted more. I prayed for God to lead me to a church....then one day walking, a piece of paper blew right on my feet. It was an invitation to Easter services at a church.....3 months later I was baptized and accepted Jesus as my Lord and savior and the Pastor and I are now friends. An invitation on a piece of paper became an inspiration to seek my Savior!

I was addicted to heroin for 40 years, in and out of prison until God found me. I fully surrendered today I’m a faith based counselor for the lost least and the last. The lord is merciful I love you Lord ❤

A couple of days after our autistic 15 year old son died, my wife and I had to go to the funeral home. I had the volume turned way down on my radio because I didn’t want to hear any music at the time. We arrived and parked in the parking lot. My wife had been wanting to remember the name of a song our son loved. He would sing and worship while he played it at home. My wife couldn’t remember the name of the song and was upset over it. We finished our business in the funeral home. When I started the Jeep, the volume was turned up, and this song was playing on the radio. After she calmed down from her surprise, my wife said this was the song she was trying to remember. I believe God sends His messengers when His children need it the most. We played this at his funeral.

Jesus will never give up on us!! Whoever is reading this just remember that you are special and you have a purpose in this life ❤️

Drunken and without hope. Like a Spirit wandering around. Never Happy with anything in life. Lived in the streets. And it goes on to bring me as far down as I could come. He rescued me. What a Loving Father.

I can relate to alot of comments on here. This song is my story. 15 years of alcoholism and drug addiction. The end I was hooked on meth lost my son went to prison with no way out. Let me tell you Christ changed my story! Gave my life to him started reading the word which transformed my life and healed me from addiction. I now have 6 years clean, full custody of my son and amazing job! All glory to God he changed my life.

I was literally homeless in the desert 18 months ago and when I hear this it puts me in that state of mind.Its his voice telling he loves me and that I don't have to run anymore.Im 18 months sober,have a church,A home group AA and he uses me everywhere I go.Thank you Jesus for being my rescue story.John 16:32,33

Its not there fault that they do not understand an incredible musician and song writer. They no not what they say. Incredible voice always has great music that is so very relateable to lots of people.and an inspiration. He's been there his self and survived so that he could give others the great songs that,he writes and is relateable. He has won dove awards for his music. So there are alot more that love his voice and songs than there are people giving thumbs down. Some people don't like songs because they realize that they can relate and the words are talking to them, they just don't no,how to handle hearing it. And the truth hurts. I know I am a musician and in denial myself. And realized I need to change what I'm doing muself, I avoided the voice that was calling, didn't like things like this myself. People just need to open there hearts and they will see, and what's even harder is the friends you thought,you had do not like the change and ridicule. If they don't like the new you inside they were never your friend anyway. In closing you are so,right wonderful songs beautiful voice he was on a dark path himself. And came out of it to song about his struggles so he could help others see that they can change also. Thank you for supporting an Arkansas musician that is an incredible person, singer songwriter and changed my life also.

All things work to the Good of those who serve God. It might look bleak still, might be hard still, but don't lose faith. The refiners fire burns away the ego / self and leave only Jesus inside you, his glory is going to shine so bright at the end of this , and you will be amazed at how his strength held you upright through it all so that you could endure to the end. I can’t even count the number of times God’s grace rescued me. Every time I listen to this song and think on the goodness of God, I weep for joy and thank God for always being there. It’s so good to know that he will never give up on us!

I had many addictions before, I was angry, had no attention span, and was unhappy and about 2 weeks ago I poured out my heart to Jesus and now I'm clean of everything and have made my days so much more productive and constantly in the word! Jesus saves and heals!

I was never a believer, I went into a faith based recovery center in chunky, ms. RIGHTEOUS OAKS was a tool used by God to set me free from 15 years of meth and herioin addiction, may 22 I was sober a year!! To GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!!!

I sound crazy, but I was severely abused as a child by my grandparents. I was placed in a shallow grave. It was cold and dark, I cried out for my dad, he was not there, but my Heavenly Father appeared and I heard “I am with you my child “. He has been and will always be even when I strayed from his path. This will be played at my funeral. Everyone needs Christ. Share him!❤️🙏

Rescue Story is the perfect song for my twin grandsons to here. At 29 years of age they are headed in the wrong direction, and have been for the 3 years. They’ve both been to rehab only to go right back on drugs when they got home. I try time and time again to speak of Jesus but it falls on deaf ears, they don’t want to hear. I’m praying every day for them. Zach’s testimony is the perfect testimony they need to listen to. God Bless you Zach, your music is so uplifting.

As I read all the statements on here of how faithful God is and how he loves and has restores so many people. What a blessing the Lord Jesus is to us. His answers to so many of my prayers have been miracles.

Godly sorrow produces repentance, leading to Salvation, not to be regretted.... but the world's sorrow leads to death.

I was raised in a Christian family and accepted Christ as Saviour as a young teen. I’ve not always walked in the walk I should have, but I never got into trouble, drug free, mostly obedient to parents. I married a Christian man in my early 20’s and for 36 years we were a couple. For the last few years our relationship slipped away from Hod and ultimately us. I thought we were going through a phase as I experienced menopause and figured he was having his own mid-life crisis that we’d both wake up from and say “Dang, that was hard, but we made it!" It didn’t happen that way. Our divorce is pending and I am pressing forward with God’s help. I miss my husband. I miss my friend. I miss the man that I thought was my soul-mate. I have found God to be my hero and my rescue!

Jesus is my rescue story! Saved me when i tried committing suicide delivered me from depression i had for almost 2yrs now he is my Lord and Savior he gave me a reason to live and gave me love for my kids and loved me when nobody else did

By God's grace I'm coming up on 9 years sober in September. I never could have done it without him and I walk with him everyday. Truly my rescue story as well. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever, amen.

Came from a long life of addiction and tried the twelve steps multiple times it wasn't until I surrendered to JESUS that my life was rescued

This song makes me cry when i remember how much My Lord and Savior loves me and also always being there for me and my family. How he is taking care of my battles whenever the enemy standing there to stop me breath in many ways. I battle depression as well and I play this over and over because so many days I wanted to give up. 🙏🏽
