Wow...this is the first time I've ever searched a guitar tutorial and had a lesson direct from the artist. Thanks so much. The Lord led me to your music directly after the tragic death of my older brother, Trevor. Trevor struggled with drug addictions for many years and was in and out of prison for various reasons resulting from his addictions. During one of his prison stays he became involved with christian prison fellowship, developed a relationship with the lord and was eventually led to testify about what faith did for him. This song will always have a special place in my heart and remind me of him. ❤

Zach, every once in a while a song comes along for me and it brings me back to the day of my salvation, Sept 27th 1985 at 10:30 pm. Why do I remember so clearly? I was at Dire Straits concert, perfect rock band name, because I was in dire straits. I was addicted to everything under the sun; drugs, sex, alcohol and dying a slow death inside. Just before the concert something got a hold of me and I left my friends behind and ran outside the stadium and thought to myself, I can’t go on like this, And just then I heard a voice and felt an indescribable sensation. The voice I heard said 6 simple words,” I am Jesus, I love you!,” I started weeping like a little kid, because for the first in my life I felt the weight of my sin. It was then that I realized He died for me and I spoke to Him and asked for forgiveness, And guess what? He forgave me and broke my chains, showed me the way, took me out of my self made prison and showed me a better life. Thank you Zach for writing this song for me. God keep you. Peter
