(TLDR the state shouldn’t be in F-tier purely because of the hydroplaning. It has much more going for it that easily bumps it up to C-tier) You’re completely right about the hydroplaning thing. HOWEVER: it does not deserve to be in F-tier (or its own tier). The state provides A TON in the agriculture department, through rice and soybeans, etc. It’s called “The Natural State” for a VERY good reason: the abundance of state parks, camping grounds, lax gun laws, a vibrant hunting culture, fishing, caves, hiking, and so on and so forth. There’s also the bonus that if the state were to somehow be physically cut off from the rest of the world, it would be completely self-sufficient: it has its own natural gas, it’s own coal, an abundance of hydroelectric power, a powerful agro and livestock system, diamond mines, fish, and more.

As someone who lives in West Virginia, the main reason people are attached to coal is because it's the only real industry we've had and a lot of people have been convinced it's the only industry we'll ever have. It's kinda sad watching people refuse to adapt and the government too locked on holding on to the past to actually try to bring new industry here.

Are you kidding me? Nobody can drive? I went to the mitten twice and both times everyone followed all road laws and were courteous, a rarity out in the USA wasteland. You're right regarding the rest of Michigan, like Detroit, but the northern part of Michigan rules. They don't drive like Californians or Floridians, whom are reckless. They don't live in a state anywhere close to as cursed as Ohio. Their road conditions are leagues above Illinois, even in the southern side. And honestly I'd rather be belligerent in Michigan than anywhere northeast of Pennsylvania. I've lived in or traversed many of these states and honestly there's very few I'd want to actually live in. Wild Midwestern crackheads are just so tame compared to the types I've seen in Florida and Alaska. But coastal states are my preference.

Corona is actually a whole county over from Roswell. The reason it’s all Roswell was because we (I’m a Roswell native btw) used to have one of the biggest air bases in the country. We even had Nazi POWS, who we made build a local pool that got demoed like 4 years ago. When we removed some of the siding there was a full on Third Reich eagle engraved into it. Owen Wilson went to high school in NMMI(which is a military school in Roswell. John Denver was born in Roswell. Rockets were also invented in Roswell by Robert Goddard. Lincoln county, which is where Corona is, is where both Billy the Kid and Smokey the Bear are from. Ruidoso and Taos are in the Rockies and have some gorgeous mountain scenery. We have a bunch of Navajo and Apache reservations and casinos. Carlsbad caverns is really dope. If I’m remembering correctly, it’s the biggest cavern system in the US. Also our food slaps, with Santa Fe claiming to have invented breakfast burritos. We also have a gas station exclusive to our state and some of west Texas called Allsups that has really good burritos. All in all, the fact that this shitter of a state isn’t in Arkansas tier is a tragedy of Greek proportions, but’s there’s still some cool facts about it. *fingerguns*

From Ohio here- that was the Cuyahoga River over by Cleveland way that was set on fire from so much pollution. We have the IX indoor amusement park. Cleveland Tank Plant that built the GMC- M-18 hellcat, the Duster SPAA, M4s, B24s,25s, engines and other bits for the stratofortress. Cedar point up near my hometown. Dayton Airshow, Wright -Patterson AFB, NASA plumbrook ( if it went to space it came through Plumbrook testing facility!) We have a tiny little town over by the PA border - Conneaut Ohio, home of D-Day Ohio! Only a few handful of places that can accurately recreate the Normandy beach landings.

Inslee brings it down, too. But yeah, it's beautiful and there's literally no way they will ever be able to enforce that mag ban, other than, it's harder to get those mags. But yeah, there aren't enough cops to harass citizens over whether their mags are pre-2019, or whether they got it from Idaho or Oregon in 2023. There is no way to enforce it. It's not like California, where there's a billion and one slush funds conspiring to funnel money into the government and there's police every 5 feet, ready to give you fines and tickets. There is not enough funding, because WA constitution prohibits income tax. And that's a good thing. It makes government bloat difficult to achieve, which in turn, makes this an extremely free state, even if Inslee's trying to turn it into California. It's simply not possible.

Personally, I think you massively underrated Ohio. Ohio has some pretty dope amusement parks, two main big ones, one in the south of the state (Kings Island, just outside of Cincinnati), and one in the north (Cedar Point in Sandusky). Ohio is also the birthplace of professional baseball. Ohio also has one of the best zoos in the country in Cincinnati. Hell, the first man to ever walk on the moon (Neil Armstrong) was from Ohio. Several presidents were from Ohio. The Rock & Roll hall of fame and the NFL hall of fame are both in Ohio. And it was actually the Cuyahoga River that caught fire. And that's just Cleveland, which MOST Ohioans agree is kinda garbage. Ohio also has some of the LEAST restrictive gun laws in the country. Constitutional Carry, no mag size limits, no weapon specific bans, no wait periods on purchases, no purchase limits, no ammo restrictions, and a CCW permit that is honored in more states than any other. Also LOTS of Raccoons😂.

I now know that Zach was probably in training around 2008-2009 based on his comment about Maryland having crazy snow- those were the years that it snowed like hell here. Usually the weather is just dice roll day to day. I would say Hawaii could be solid A- or B+ tier. Biggest con is the isolation which leads to literally everything being expensive. Biggest pro is that its a vacation state, and what I mean is that there are very few places in the world where you could go snowboarding, hiking, and surfing all in the same day. I can see why people could see us being rude as we're usually mean to mainlanders / tourists that dont respect the culture of the islands. It's not uncommon to see tourists walk up to Turtles or Hawaiian Monk Seals and have locals yell at them for it. I also take offense to the comment of "shit food" because yes we eat a lot of SPAM but there's also not a lot of places where you can have many experiences of different cultures in one place. Remember Hawaii is a group of islands that make up a state so your experience could vary literally by which island you vacation to.
