Love Zach, bummed to not see him race UTMB to give himself another shot at winning. However, I 100% respect his decision not to, and support him racing wherever he wants. Class act 🤘

What a great conversation! Love Zach his attitude to running, and life in general tbh! He also puts his money where his mouth is, and doesn’t do UTMB. I wholeheartedly agree that the UTMB race is a supercool race and defacto word championship for Ultra’s, but we must try to keep them Beneficial for the sport, and steamrolling all other good parts!

You express yourToughts, conserns about UTMB organisation with intelligence and respect. I have a lot of respect about you as a runner but a lot more about your values, convictions and the hability to share it with people to change the things.

lovable guy, hope people reserve some of that overwhelming trail running community love for courtney and give some to zach. He should start a Love Bus running secret run group. We'd all pile into his bus, and he'd take us for a no drop run in the wilderness where only he knows the route. Aside from that, he should do Caballo Blanco

What a great episode! This is why my man crush is Zach Miller. I go back and forth between Zach and Tom Evans LOL. Hearing the comment about the money and how your dad is surprised with some of the numbers. I don't know who I am to say this and I'm probably only half as smart as Zach Miller but be sure to invest a significant portion of that for your future. Who knows what the future of an athlete holds so properties, Blue Chip stocks (preferably those that pay healthy dividends), a good SP500 ETF. Don't wake up when you are 50 and realize you didn't have some of it working for you. Alright dad rant over - love what Zach is all about. Awesome dude and even better runner! Great POD as always. I have my weekly intervals session this afternoon and now I'm pumped to get it in:)

First of all I absolutely admire and respect Zach❗️❗️❗️But, if an ultra runner is competing in major races and constantly finishing in the top ten they deserve more than free shoes❗️❗️❗️Companies making hundreds of millions should be paying their athletes for their NIL❗️❗️❗️

A man of the mountains not a man of the corporate board room. A sportsman not a commodity. A soul not a sell-out. Way to go Mr. Miller, power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.

With regards to UTMB, I’m hopeful the elites and everyday runners can come to a place of forgiveness from what happened to Gary. Thankfully we all have the freedom as runners to choose between so many great races. If you’re at peace with the race organizations that you’re paying by all means pursue your dreams. At the end of the day it’s just running 🤷‍♂️

The behavior of UTMB is strange. With their other races, which are the only UTMB qualifiers, they don't give the competition a chance at all. At the same time, if they left room for others, the competition would not be a direct threat to UTMB. In this way, the competition will have nothing but to become a direct rival to UTMB itself. And UTMB can thus completely lose its exceptional status. Because fans want to see elite competitors. If another race offers them better conditions, they will start going there. From a strange UTMB, this is really incomprehensible behavior. I have been thinking for a long time that they are taking a lot of risks. And with the American victory ending a great era, things can really change very quickly. It's very bad for the sport anyway. UTMB pushed the sport up a notch. It's really unreal that they don't understand the basic rule that with great power comes great responsibility.
