Thanks as always, Mark! I agree with all these observations about Zach too
Zach F*ckin Miller - legend of a guy. Stoked the interview went nearly 2hrs. Nice job
Love Zach, bummed to not see him race UTMB to give himself another shot at winning. However, I 100% respect his decision not to, and support him racing wherever he wants. Class act 🤘
I really enjoyed this conversation. Zach is so knowledgeable and good for our sport! I normally enjoy hearing him talk about racing, but this type of convo was very fulfilling. Thank you Finn !
What a great conversation! Love Zach his attitude to running, and life in general tbh! He also puts his money where his mouth is, and doesn’t do UTMB. I wholeheartedly agree that the UTMB race is a supercool race and defacto word championship for Ultra’s, but we must try to keep them Beneficial for the sport, and steamrolling all other good parts!
I feel like we are all sitting in the living room having a chat with Zach. Very insightful.

Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the kind words about the conversation flow ! - Finn
Zach is one of my favorite ultra runners to watch. He's genuine and empties the tank for every race!
You express yourToughts, conserns about UTMB organisation with intelligence and respect. I have a lot of respect about you as a runner but a lot more about your values, convictions and the hability to share it with people to change the things.
This was one of my favorite pods! Love Zach! So genuine and transparent. Just a great person! I will cheer for him wherever he chooses to run!
Great to hear Zach's discussion

Thanks for watching!
That was an amazing talk. Zach is always interesting to listen, always honest. And you gave him the space to flow with zero interrupting. Great job and thanks.
What a fantastic and insightful interview with one of the absolute best of our sport. Really well conducted and great to watch. Thank you Singletrack!
lovable guy, hope people reserve some of that overwhelming trail running community love for courtney and give some to zach. He should start a Love Bus running secret run group. We'd all pile into his bus, and he'd take us for a no drop run in the wilderness where only he knows the route. Aside from that, he should do Caballo Blanco

CMTR and is having a 100 miler this September in BC!!! Registration Feb 16/24! Come on up Zach!!! Huge elevation🦾🏃🏻🏃🏻🏃🏻🏃🏻🏃🏻
What a great episode! This is why my man crush is Zach Miller. I go back and forth between Zach and Tom Evans LOL. Hearing the comment about the money and how your dad is surprised with some of the numbers. I don't know who I am to say this and I'm probably only half as smart as Zach Miller but be sure to invest a significant portion of that for your future. Who knows what the future of an athlete holds so properties, Blue Chip stocks (preferably those that pay healthy dividends), a good SP500 ETF. Don't wake up when you are 50 and realize you didn't have some of it working for you. Alright dad rant over - love what Zach is all about. Awesome dude and even better runner! Great POD as always. I have my weekly intervals session this afternoon and now I'm pumped to get it in:)
The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference. The opposite of art is not ugliness, it's indifference. The opposite of faith is not heresy, it's indifference. And the opposite of life is not death, it's indifference.
WHAT a podcast. Loved this episode mate 👊🏽

Also - no big deal but the third timestamp doesn't show correctly. I think because you need to include HR.
Great interview!! As an Adirondack 46er and big fan of Zach, it is very cool to hear his thoughts on the High Peaks and the FKT.
Fuck yeah. Was waiting for another episode to drop.
nice job
Going to be great seeing Zach come run in the Fraser Valley. I hear he likes vert!😊
First of all I absolutely admire and respect Zach❗️❗️❗️But, if an ultra runner is competing in major races and constantly finishing in the top ten they deserve more than free shoes❗️❗️❗️Companies making hundreds of millions should be paying their athletes for their NIL❗️❗️❗️
Firstly , thanks for the podcasts. It was very interesting to listen to it. Secondly, what's with all commercial breaks every 5th minute ? It's very annoying.
That did not feel like an hour forty two minutes

High praise! Thank you so much
How many times did Zach say “like” during this interview?
A man of the mountains not a man of the corporate board room. A sportsman not a commodity. A soul not a sell-out. Way to go Mr. Miller, power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Great athlete, good dude...needs a public speaking training camp.
With regards to UTMB, I’m hopeful the elites and everyday runners can come to a place of forgiveness from what happened to Gary. Thankfully we all have the freedom as runners to choose between so many great races. If you’re at peace with the race organizations that you’re paying by all means pursue your dreams. At the end of the day it’s just running 🤷♂️

What really is the best for this sport?
When Elite Runners complain about prize money, or the lack thereof, just means their sponsors aren’t paying them even close to enough.

It’s like Tom Brady complaining that the NFL didn’t pay him prize money each time he won the Superbowl.
Glad all these top level athletes are ditching UTMB
The behavior of UTMB is strange. With their other races, which are the only UTMB qualifiers, they don't give the competition a chance at all. At the same time, if they left room for others, the competition would not be a direct threat to UTMB. In this way, the competition will have nothing but to become a direct rival to UTMB itself. And UTMB can thus completely lose its exceptional status. Because fans want to see elite competitors. If another race offers them better conditions, they will start going there. From a strange UTMB, this is really incomprehensible behavior. I have been thinking for a long time that they are taking a lot of risks. And with the American victory ending a great era, things can really change very quickly. It's very bad for the sport anyway. UTMB pushed the sport up a notch. It's really unreal that they don't understand the basic rule that with great power comes great responsibility.
Has a problem with UTMB and how they treat people but he uses/supports Instagram /Meta??? 😂

key difference is by talking about UTMB he is trying to make things better... not using instagram would have zero impact
