I think his first instinct to say it that way is because it’s closer to the Korean pronunciation of their name lmaooo. I also went down a rabbit hole looking for the meaning of their group name and someone was saying something about it being similar to the Romanian (?) spelling of “The Seraphs” or something along those lines… I know it’s an anagram but that theory was interesting lol

@@aishahagi9492 haha i dont think so, romanian isn't really that popular, and "serafim" is the singular of "seraph" in romanian but we don't use "le" as an article, so i'd say it could be more of a french influence. probably it's an anagram for I'm fearless and with some influence from french/romanian

I had no clue their group name was an anagram of I'm Fearless lol. I always presumed it was intended to be a reference to the seraphim as in the Christian/Judaic angelic being. I guess there still could be some intention there, though the primary intention would just be the anagram.

As a french person and seeing their names written as #LESSERAFIM online, I thought they had called themselves in reference to the sort of celestial biblical angels called Seraphims or in french: Les Séraphins. Now that I know it's an anagram for I am fearless, their band name is truly clever in so many different ways 😱

I know LE SSERAFIM is an ANAGRAM meaning "I'm Fearless". Because I looked up their name when they announced it, and they told everyone what it ment. BUT the way that it's written looks French. And Séraphin is a French word, Seraph in English...meaning an angelic being, regarded in traditional Christian angelology as belonging to the highest order of the ninefold celestial hierarchy, associated with light, ardor, and purity. Which are the main reasons it confuses people who don't know French or are new to the group.

Yeah, I never had a conception of what the "LE" part was, but, being a Christian, I always figured the "SSERAFIM" part was a reference to the biblical seraphim. I didn't have a conception as to why they'd be making that reference, but also didn't think too much about it. I think it could still be a reference to that, though, just using an anagram of I'm Fearless to get there. It would be interesting to know if there was that intention and why they referenced it if they did have that intention.
