If they really wanted to pick let see them play a song from Helloween, Dream Theatre, Savatage,(aka Trans Siberian Orchestra), DragonForce, or Unleash the Archers. The guitars have no melody and harmony in here. They just dropped D and have a chug sound.

I have a signed poster of them from when they first started out at bars and stuff, right before they blew up

Josh Cathey I’m pretty sure Zac Brown was plenty famous before they covered this song.... It’s just good fun and the audience loves it. If anything it’s an homage to Metallica and shows the love that ZBB has for all genres of music.

@@Iceman97913 If you never go and try to listen to other genre’s of music you will never hear about these artists. Just like when people talk to me about new pop artists, I’ll give them a blank stare and say “who?” And it’ll turn out that there the next “big thing.”

This is why country musicians should never cover metal. They are doing what all the mainstream acts do and drop D. Major metal acts that stick to the heart of metal don't drop D. They tune the guitar to be heavy while also being able to have melody and harmony in the music.
