very grateful for this video. I feel like Zabbix could've done a better job with their documentation as far as how to add a windows host. this was a great walkthrough.

You have to add a full (with domain name) hostname in the agent config to stop an error appearing as "host not find" in the Zabbix agent log file, as you have used the full name in the Zabbix server. Useful video for beginners, thank you.

It depends on the dns. If the dns is fine then no FQDN required. It is recommended to use the FQDNs to avoid such issues.

Can you please show me how to push Zabbix onto Windows hosts with SCCM? I am trying to incorporate arguments into the install command line for the package for: server serveractive listenport hostmetadata (we have a specific one already made=WIN-SERVERS) and also somehow allow it to detect the FQDN of the host

Hi, i did all the steps you did, and my zabbix status is red and it says that "Connection reset by peer", can you help me please ?

Any idea why Windows 10 client (agent) is not marked green on "ZBX" + on dashboard it's marked as Unknown? Port is opened ICMP is allowed I can even see graphs when I select host, it's just reporting as if it can't see Windows agent. Thanks buddy

How to zabbix server yo push client agent install windows server

i get it the hostname is of windows...but when you say the ip address ..it is of zabbix server? I have tried IP as of windows host also with a ubuntu host where i installed zabbix server.... I am stuck at this part only

Do you mean in the config. Hostname has to be endpoint’s hostname. You can use IP address as well, this has to be endpoint’s IP too. Make sure you ping the endpoint from your Zabbix server to ensure communication occurs without any issues.

Create config file using DNS to resolve the Windows host name, write a small PS script to install and start Zabbix service. Then create an app in ConfigMgr.
