I don't think Zeos realized that the suction gets weaker the longer the hose gets... Might need to get a significantly stronger shop vac.

This was one of the funniest video I have ever seen. And at the same time the idea is absolutely brilliant and will work very efficiently. I think that 10-15 feet is the max length otherwise you (and I as I am following you on that one) the suction power will be impaired. But other than that…..this is what DIY is all about. Finding creative solutions to overcome difficult obstacles. And you have provided a fantastic and hilarious example of that. Many thanks and best. Emanuele from Ancona, Italy.

should of got backpack straps, mount that to the bucket, get one of those powercord reels and just walk around all ghostbuster style.

the cleaning crew that does our offices has vacuum backpacks. That's why our walls are all fucked up tho :((((

I just watched a 7 minute video of a hose unboxing

This might be your finest mad science work. So much so that I am ordering the hose immediately after I type this. I have a Ridgid 12g wet dry vac that is an absolute pain in the dick to move around my shop, then move inside or outside for the pool or clean up flooding in my sunroom. The bucket setup plus a 30-40 foot hose permanently mounted in my shop for cleaning up sawdust and metal shavings would save me a whole lot of time and effort.

Wish I had known about this before I bought my lithium battery powered handheld. Who needs a battery with that much hose?

I made a 50ft headphone cable years ago from 2 conductor shielded microphone cable. I'm guessing an xlr cable would work too.

I can suck rocks. The small vacuum chamber assists with loss.
