Z Grills 700D3 Initial Start Up & Review

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

The initial burn off of a new pellet grill can seem intimidating if you've never done this procedure before. I will show you how easy it is to do the initial burn in of your new pellet grill. Most of these pellet grills have the same type of firing up sequence. ‪@ZGrills‬ sent me this pellet grill to review but I'm going to show you how to get it up, primed and burned in so you can start making some amazing delicious food.

    I am really liking this one. Besides what I talked about in the video I also really like how the probe temps are always displayed and you don't have to hit buttons to read the temps like on my Traeger. Love the clean digital display as well and it's quieter.

    This one is just a little shorter in length than my Traeger but I am super impressed with this grill. It really does hold the temps steady even on a cold day. I do have a thermal "blanket" coming for it for those extreme cold days.

    I can't tell you how it compares to the pit boss because I don't have one but if I was to buy a standard pellet grill from Traeger, which I have or a standard pellet grill from Z Grills, Z Grills gets my vote.

    Do you leave the main lid open for all these steps?

  • @MileHighGuyBBQ

    @MileHighGuyBBQ

    4 ай бұрын

    Yes, during the initial auger and pellet transfer to the fire box when you run the pellets for the first time to get them to drop in the fire box and ignite. After you are through will all the initial start up procedures and you are ready for the burn off then you set it on the smoke setting with the lid open, let the smoke come out and when the fan kicks on and blows the smoke away you can close the lid and do the burn off or if you've done that then you can close the lid, let the grill come to temp and then put your food on. You always start up a pellet smoker with the lid open to get the air flow going and then you can close it when the smoke goes away.

    Why after some pellets get into the burn pot would you shutdown again?

  • @MileHighGuyBBQ

    @MileHighGuyBBQ

    11 ай бұрын

    It's just the "recomended" start up procedure but I don't think it's really necessary after having 3 pellet grills now I see no need for a shut down, just cintinue on with the burn in. For new people it's just a test to make sure the pellets will ignite but good call on your part 👍
