I completely agree. She was so convincing as an American, that I originally thought she was American the same way I thought Hugh Laurie was American when I first started watching House M.D lol. That is some very impressive acting right there. Yvonne was a great addition to Dexter in my opinion. I thought she was amazing :)

The female actors from Australia really have taken over American television. I am always surprised when I hear them talk in an interview. But Rose Byrne said that girls her age grew up watching American TV shows, so it really is second nature to them. Rachel Griffith from Six Feet Under is from down under, too, and did an awesome job playing George Jung's horrible mother in the movie Blow.

Tomáš Urban I disagree, I love Zachary and Yvonne in their own way but at the end of the day they are just actors. We see what the directors and producers want us to see. It’s writing, it’s acting. I’m sure they are really good friends, they have good chemistry, but realistically speaking they have chemistry with everyone on set from all different panels and tv shows and movies. It’s acting. They’ve done a lot of Chuck episodes together. If they really liked each other from Chuck they would have dated, they didn’t. Yvonne said she’s not into nerds, she has a type, she married that type. Don’t make it something that it’s not, they are both just really good actors they portray something on screen that’s convincing and ultimately that’s art in movie media form. It’s not fair for fans to call them a couple or even to get married when they both live life outside of the show and are happy today with their significant others, Yvonne has a baby with actor and producer Loden.

Definitely the hottest of all Dex's love interests.

Some of Dexter's (the series) finest moments were the episodes focusing on Hannah and Dexter's love for each other. Yvonne as Hannah McKay was spectacular. They really have a great screen chemistry!

completely agree. and it’s also the same with her on her newest show, the Handmaid’s Tale! not once do u even think of Sarah Walker or Hannah McKay. she just transforms, even somehow physically! she’s so damn versatile (and completely underrated 🙃) PLUS after her stints on 24 and Chuck, i’ve always wished she had her own action movie series haha. she’s so kickass in every action scene. makes fights+gunplay so believable. it’s pretty hard to find an actor who can do action, drama, romance, sci fi, thriller, and comedy- and do it well. not to mention she’s one of the most beautiful women on the planet haha

Michael C Hall does great interviews, super comical guy and seems straightforward no superficial bullshit. Yvonne Strahavski was really good with Dexter on season 7, can't wait for S08.

Dexter shows more of his humorous side when he’s about to kill his victims 😂. He’s like Peter Parker cracking jokes in the middle of fighting criminals 🤣

I bet Yvonne will miss her Chuck cast mates a lot. I've seen the behind the scenes footage of both Dexter and Chuck and the work on every Chuck set is like they're having party while working while on Dexter it's like you're in a university class room.

6:10 Michael talks about Dexter also being the less savoury side of being human, like being manipulative etc. Isn't that exactly what real-life psychopaths are like? Extremely manipulative to get what they want? That's always what was interesting to me about Dexter, that he's not very manipulative directly. (He lies etc to keep his secret, but he doesn't otherwise manipulate people into feeling bad about themselves in order to get something he wants...)

Yvonne is a great actress (if given the right material), so I'm sure she'll do well on Dexter.

I did season 1 through 5 in a week and a half. She has me beat on the 6th season cause that was the first one I watched week to week.

She did a great job on Dexter if I thought she was originally American. Didn’t know she had an accent off camera in real life.

The body language is kinda interesting here. Notice Yvonne is constantly staring at Michael every time he says anything. She didn't seem to do that in group interviews for Chuck.

She is a natural blonde, however the blonde in this video is a bit lighter than her actual shade of blonde.

Yvonne will always be recognized as Sarah .. just like Shooter McGavin remains known as Shooter .. regardless of what his real life name is haha
