Brings back memories at the start of my last semester at BAC late summer of '79.

The great, one & only JEFF PORCARO on the drums, playing 16th notes on the hi-hats with both hands, which he admittedly said in his drum demonstration videos, he rarely does, however here, he found the beat, groove & timing purely lent itself to it. Jeff always did, "what worked right for the song". BCRadio

She's still singing and looks and sounds BEAUTIFUL!!!

I remember this song and many others from the 70's in Seattle, Portland, and Los Angeles Discos. Brings back memories of when music was felt. deep bass from subwoofers and the dance floor was full of fun times, great dancers, great music, and great people.

Having grown up in the disco era, I’m shocked I never heard this. I absolutely love the Liza version and assumed did the first recording. This was a nice surprise! Thanks!

Actually it peaked at #34 12-7-1979.

I remember I used to go dancing with the song that came out back in the late 70s disco was big everybody dance on the dance floor when the song came out what good memories

Just heard this today on my Sirius Satellite Radio (70s on 7) and it blew me away! Should've been a big hit for her. I actually like it better than "If I Can't Have You"!

Disco was #1 the beautiful people and was all about dancing. I cannot remember how many beautiful ladies did I dance with, but thanks for the fun (Nick)

The disco era was starting to fade when this single was released. “My Sharona” is credited with killing the genre.

At least she had a few hits and was in Jesus Christ superstar too she won a Grammy for if I can't have you nominated for a golden globe for Jesus Christ superstar toured with Eric Clapton she did a lot and wasn't a one hit wonder

Angela Pritchard her voice is beautiful, very underrated.

Great song that deserved to be a monster hit. Covered by Hazel Dean and Liza Minnelli who also failed to hit with it. Always hoped Kylie or Steps would cover it

I think Viola Wills also covered it, but unfortunately in a different key. I used to try to mix all four together but Viola's was always off in key.

This was my fave dance track in the gay clubs of the time. A bottle of Dr P for the instrumental hook on the 12"". Excellent.
