I was amazed by that for long but by now I think this is kind of logical and probably other skaters can do it to. He can land jumps on the note because he knows so well the time he needs from preparation to the landing moment. Skating is about maintaining the rhythm of the performance and what he does is matching the rhythm of his own performance to the rhythm of the music he hears, so for the audience it looks like he dances so easily to other skaters' music. It's probably no big deal for him, especially when he knows the song and the rhythm of both songs are the same tempo. (Matching 3/4 with 7/4 would be much more difficult😂.) He can also improvise a program, because he has now a repertoire of sequences in his head and he can match those to any music he knows and can easily fill out the gaps with some extra elements. 😄
