they're just being expressive. Many Indonesian athletes are like that. they didn't do it on purpose in the first place. they did it just to cheer themselves up at first. but usually the opponent misunderstands and gets provoked. and they become more expressive and annoyed. so there are more and more expressions

​@@MaiXin__1220 iya, di 2018 atau 2019 pernah kok di interview-nya Mbak Widya si Kevin bilang kalau memang "tengil"-nya itu bentuk psychological warfare. Dia sengaja seperti itu biar mancing reaksi lawan. Cuma kalau dilihat sekarang sepertinya sudah lebih dewasa ya.

Sukamuljo's style of provoking opponents r actually from the badminton Legend Sigit Budiarto, it's purpose is just to provoke the rival's anger, so they become unstable n inconsisten on playing. But yea i feel sorry for those who become the victim of it😭, kinda sad to see other players being provoked

Good video but i see some misjudgments here and there. Sukamoljo and Gideon have always been very expressive. Psychological gestures are also very common among athletes even the top players actually, Boe or Conrad for example. It's a natural reaction in competitive environment. It is up to the opponent whether it's provoking or not. When the opponents take it too seriously, most cases it just does them harm, got mentally drained to their disadvantage.

Right? People get surprised of the idea of psywar although they know every player plays with their body, mind and soul. Kevin Sukamuljo is chill about that, like after the game he'd just shake hands and move on. One time he did one of the antics too far and got a yellow card but he received it without arguing. He'd do anything to win and if he'd cross the line then so be it. I once saw the moment after the game when a player still held grudges and even refused to shake Kevin's hand😅. It just proved that 'the trick' worked.

수카/기데 조중에서 수카물조가 평소 경기중에 상대선수 열받게 만드는 비매너 플레이 많이하고, 롱서비스로 점수따기도 하는 등, 평소 국제경기에서 꼴보기 싫었던적이 많았습니다. 비매너 플레이로 벌점을 당한적도 있을 정도였습니다. 그러던 중 최/서 조가 비슷한 방법으로(하지만 정확하게 비매너 행위는 아니었음) 이 팀을 혼내주자 너무너무 통쾌했습니다. 경기 끝나고, 기데온이 라켓을 집어던지기도 했었죠. ㅋㅋ 사실 기데온은 매너가 좋은 편인데, 정작 비매너 수카물조보다 기데온이 더 화을 너무 많이 내서 조금 미안할 정도였습니다. 아무튼 수카/기데 조의 실력은 넘사벽인데, 이를 이긴 경기라 들어와 보게 되었습니다. 한국 국대들 화이팅.!!!!!

저도 그경기 보고 최솔규 선수에 대한 인식이 안좋았었는데... 영상속 김기정 선수께서 확인해 주셨듯이 정작 프로 선수들끼리는 그런 인식이 전혀 없나보네요. 경기를 위해 충분히 그럴 수 있다는점 알게 되었습니다.

Btw congrats on your winning in French Open 2021, too bad that you have to retired on Hylo though. Good commentary. I’m sad that BKA chose to split Choi/Seo. They have the potential to achive big things together. About Sukamuljo’s antics, he did that because he was annoyed by the loooong services. One of the things that usually triggered his antics is the delaying by the opponents. As an example, at Hylo Open 2021. He was chill and nice to Jomkoh/Kedren but did stuff like airswings to Lundgaard/ Thyrri because the later done some delaying, regardless if they did that intentionally or not. They used to be disturbed too much by it (the delaying and loooong services) to the point that their annoyance and dislike was very readable on their faces and gestures. But they’re handling it better nowadays and more patient.
