I am Nephi Acaling. I am native to Bacolod City but currently living outside the Philippines due to job assignment. I’ve lived in different countries like Singapore, Japan and United States due to job assignments. I was in the US when I started this channel thus the confusion to some where I am truly based.
At a time, I was a band vocalist performing every Friday and Saturday night at a local bar chain but recently decided to quit from my band to focus on my KZread Channel and my full-time job as an engineer.
I was a member of the Filipino Voice Symphony where I was taught by professional chorale singers (e.g. former soprano from UP Madrigal Singers). Our choral group actually bagged the Gold Medal in the International A cappella Championships held in Singapore in 2011.
I was the Glee Club president and was a trainer for various singing competitions when I was in the university - all these were humbling experiences for me.
WHAT IS THE GOAL?
My mission is to promote music among different regions and try to make people from different countries relate to each other through music and singing. I have always believed that even small gestures in understanding similarities and differences towards others may actually lead to greater awareness about countries and their people.
In this modern world full of things that divide humanity, it is but perfect to put efforts in re-uniting and building bridges among all of us.
I have come to a point of trying to find a greater purpose in life, something beyond just being happy for a moment. Happiness in life is more meaningful if we choose to be useful, be honorable, be compassionate, and make a difference.

Sohyang always sings in her own style and I love her♥️♥️♥️ I recommend you to react to other Begin Again Korea covers, especially I will always love you (sang by Sohyang) and Day Day (sang by all of Begin Again Korea members). Can you make videos about that from academic perspective because I want to learn to sing like her, I know it's kinda shameful😂😂 because nobody can sing like her. Actually, 'I'll Be There' is a Michael Jackson song originally. Mariah covered it much later.

Generally what you said is correct, but not in this case. the whisper-y notes are just a stylistic choice, they make it so much more impactful, certainly not compensating for lack of low range, you wouldn't say that if you checked out her Cover of "Misty" a jazz piece with very complex low notes, So Hyang slayed that better than she slay with belting. you need to react to more performances of her....

Yeah her low notes has become better every year. Actually, in contrary to what majority of people would believe, Sohyang's chest register is actually pretty solid for a high soprano. She just likes to make it breathy & light for stylistic choice. But she has shown multiple times that she's capable of producing really solid, dark, full & even resonant low notes. She just chose not to lol.

What kind of comment is this? If she's using the same techniques as other artists, which you're supposed to use, why are they more impressive than her to you? What makes her so inferior and unimpressive? It makes no sense. It means that she's doing well, just like they are. Why is she being singled out?
