Yes they did, that’s how buses are.. Cars are like 10 or 5 because they are weak and buses are not because buses are big and cars are small or medium..

difference, GERMAN DESIGN with good materials build in China and CHINESE DESIGN with most likely bad material with low standart. Build a Chinese car in Germany, it will still sucks. That's why evelators in western countries don't crush people even if they are made in China, where as in China they crush people...

It's far from realistic though. That basically simulates hitting a small solid object at low speed. Running into the back of a semi-trailer or even cars, at speed, is far different. Don't know what this is trying to prove. Certainly is not a real crash simulation! Why not just wack it in front with a plastic foam hammer like they do in the movies? A real crash test involves testing the effect of the mass of the rear of the bus coming forward after the collision, forcing the collapse of the cab. Looks like they were trying to save money by using the same bus for a rollover simulation as for front impact. Not very impressive.

Yutong, a Chinese brand. I feel ashamed watching this vid(I’m a China guy). Not saying that I can prove how unsafe these buses are but, seriously? Frontal crash test with a piece of steel? Yea that thing sure is heavy, but r u sure that all accidents happen like this? A wide variety of tests must be carried out to ensure that the bus performs up to the safety standard. Clips of “tests” like this not only does not go to show the safety features of the bus, but also bring shame to us Chinese as the impression that Chinese industries r all show no go( can’t even show off properly). For whatever reason this video is made - be it the company’s own advertising or some other bullshit - this is just sad.

Crash test a bus! Bus at standstill and tipped over. Yeah, that the everyday scenario on the highways! And crash test! Against something at the weight of an average chicken. And it barely passed! Am I happy that Yutong are not seen in Norwegian traffic, and I would have to be a passenger in it. Where is the pride in Chinese manufacturers? Where I come from, we try to engineer product to be as good and safe as possible. This bus is produced to JUST pass the requirements. No way exceed them. I pity the people having to design something by this low standard.
