Each time I hear it there's some Easter egg from an old song in there, Killing Time, C79, now a little Tuesday's Dead... tomorrow there will be another... good song! (People can replace "Easter egg" with whatever similar cultural reference they like... to me, the phrase means a delightful surprise, with a little nostalgia involved.)

Wow! Yusuf can still write great songs after all these years. A legend remains a legend. One who is still alive!

@@hector-sauvage The hook is very vaguely similar but that's where it ends. The bridge has no resemblance with a completely different chord progression.A plagiarism case would be laughed out of court. It seems you are on a "Pagan Run".

I really enjoyed the Glastonbury show. It's definitly in my top five from the last few years. But I kept thinking what song the riff of "Pagan Run" made me think of and it suddenly occurred to me that it sounds a lot like the riff of "Lawyer, guns and money" by Warren Zevon, another great song by another great song writer, although the song is about something completely different than "Pagan Run". Music is universal, music is all around.

Awesome track, although I know quite a few Pagans who follow various Pantheons who are morally upright, caring, loving, and peaceful individuals. I think the track catches my ear because the opening reminds me of Warren Zevon’s Lawyers, Guns and Money. Great groove.

Actually even as a pagan myself I know what he sings about. It's the search of a spiritual person for their spiritual home. Trying out different things, religions, believes. Looking, searching, feeling like you're running around until you finally arrive where you belong.
