Would love to see an updated list with all the new cards

went back to watch this to try to build a budget yuriko deck for my friend who pulled a yuriko in a mystery booster pack ... videos now as so much smoother and more entertaining. 2 additional years of practice made such a big difference!

It's a lot of fun, and its really strong too

I recently put Explorer's Scope into my Yuriko deck. I think it's a very nice addition to get some ramp and to prevent you from hitting a land off the top or you just manipulate the top to get a land. Even if it does nothing it's just 1 mana to play and 1 to equip, very nice!

I put in explorer's scope recently as well, and it has definitely proved it's worth. Avoid hitting a land with yuriko or ramping is sooooo good.

your short list is full of huge CMC ninjas though! They synergize so well with your commander, just by drawing them off of commander! This deck is so good!

They did a good job making Yuriko work perfectly with every part of the Ninja mechanics

As a Yuriko lover myself I recommend to check out Ornithopter it hast built in evasion and pseudo Haste as major selling points. Secondly Gurmag Swiftwing is my Favorite Card in Yuriko, it has everything you want Flying, Haste and First Strike but nobody plays it for some Reason. You can Respond with Ninjutsu after First strike Damage to essantially get Double Strike. With Arcane Adaption on 'Ninja' and Yuriko out thats 2 Flips and a haste Beater safely sitting in your Hand. Not a common scenario but nice to have. Lastly Add a Maze of Ith to your MB. It does not only Protect your Life Total, but can Save your Ninjas from disadvantagous Blocking or let them slip trough because many People dont Block a mazed Creature thats ruleswise still an attacker. For me are Cards that underperformed Cavern Harpy and Phantom Ninja. Same is true for Dimir Signet I need ramp early or big. On T2 I ideally want to Ninjutsu Yuriko and T3 I want to recast my 1Drop and keep Interaction. Because of heavy color requirements and multiple recastings of your 1Drops, Dimir Signet always feels bad to cast. Instead I play Thran Dynamo this helps to free my early Turns and better transition into the lategame. Just some thoughts, would love to hear your testing results or experience if already tested.

Love ornithopter! Feels like ramp, every time you play it. I like reckless Imp over the swiftwing. I feel overly joyful about the fact that its CMC 3.

We definitely plan to! We have done Joe's Maelstrom Wanderer deck a while ago, and my Queen Marchesa deck you can search for in the meantime if you haven't seen those yet.

Love the tech guys. I wanna suggest two things for memes but will def break the back of the table without taking turns. The first is whispering madness+ notion thief. So you wheel and steal like a good ninja should. The other is Meming with etrata the silencer. Fun fact etratas ability can be ninjutsu’d at any point after blockers. If etrata gets through you wait for dmg to go off then put out a ninja. You get free removal and if you have a resonator you can be 2/3rds of the way of killing any person at the table. It’s memery but I think with enough creatures out I think it can do work alongside yuriko.

I was thinking of making my friends hate me, by making a Ninja EDH deck. Thanks for the info

Scrollrack? You resolve her first trigger and reveal temporal trespass( draco for me) scroll rack it back to the top of the deck and resolve her 2nd trigger hitting with your highest cmc twice in the same turn and if opponents don't answer scrollrack before your next turm you hit them with again. If you use Draco that's a won game

Love the deck tech and the deck, Ive been looking at Yuriko for a while but haven't pulled the trigger on making her yet. Do you think a version without extra turns would be any good? My playgroup has banned those and it's hard to tell how big of a hit the deck would take.

The deck would still be very strong. It would be tougher to “go off” but you can still get there.

Hey Joe, the list looks to be 102 cards. Is there anything you have cut? Great video, keep it up!

Windcaller aven! Every card in that deck is made to cheat mana or modify draws, so I feel like an evil mastermind every time I add a card. Still, Windcaller Aven is probably the card I love the most. Great for doing all the things this deck wants.

Do you guys plan on doing a kumena deck tech? Keep up the videos great stuff.

This deck definitely looks like a very "Fair" version of Yuriko. Super sad to not see my favorite card from my Yuriko deck however: Draco!

@@nigels1383 Put it back in - the 16 dmg to 3 opponents feels so damn good when it hits! If you have a scroll rack on field or brainstorm with draco in hand and they can't do anything about, could even end the game.

Question 6:09 lets say my opponent tries playing a spell could I use stromtamer to counter that spell or does it only counter spells that target me or a creature I control??

Don't know if you've considered or have a need for Unnatural Selection in your deck as a backup for Arcane Adaptation but I find it does a lot of work in my Yuriko deck.

I also took Ink-Eyes out of my Yuriko deck. Ninjitsu cost is too high for how situational that ability is.

@@NitpickingNerds lots of mana dorks, but there are some cool ones like spire tracer and scryb sprites. Most of the green one drops are creatures than can draw cards early game and play as good utility late game, my personal two favorites are sakura tribe scout and skyshroud ranger, the exploration effects when you're drawing 6-7 cards a turn are so good. Other one drops are sylvan safekeeper and caustic caterpillar, fun deck to play but supposedly not to play against so went ahead and tuned it all the way up and only crank it out in degenerate metas :)

Attack step: I swing in with ginger, ninijisu gravey boat... it enters as a artifact creature gg

jeeeez. never heard of insidious dreams before. this will make me bath in my opponent's tears even more! thanks for the tip! anyways: where is scroll rack? the one thing better than flipping temporal trespass is doing it over and over again :D

yay personal decks! i wish wotc would put tax evasion on more bad creatures, like if zahid's or sephara's abilities actually worked like people want them to. maybe that's why i still play karador instead of muldrotha, cost reduction is just fun. derevi gives it a bad rap.

I have played against this deck. Yuriko is hard to remove. However the deck is fun. Gravy boat is best card. Tribe scout out.

It’s kind of a nonbo with wanting high cmc cards on top. Since there’s so many high cards you won’t be able to cast many spells, and the tiny creatures don’t really make the 6 cmc investment worth it

I have to say. I have a similar yuriko. And when I play it. All the other players come together against me.
