And no they’re not, you just can’t have one hundred percent positive comments when half your fans are immature minors, people have personal issues, different world views, etc. and no she’s a little too overconfident I think. I never notice her looks and now she just invited unnecessary scrutiny from meaner people. She’s not that attractive. I mean she’s pretty but she’s not prettiest person in kpop pretty. There’s been too many idols for her to even go there. She’s not even the one who gets her face plastered all over fashion magazines so that was kind of a lot. It was rude and more importantly now her teammates know she thinks she’s better than them in that way. It’s the part where announced feeling prettier than her whole team and an industry of older sister idols who are gorgeous and peers getting vogue covers and fashion campaigns regularly. I just wouldn’t have said that in front on my team especially, she could’ve reeled that question back and instead she leaned in and now she’s left room for animosity in her own group...and they have the right to feel that way, confident is knowing you’re beautiful. Confident is fake and shady when it’s done via comparisons. Also she is the itzy member that catches my attention the least visually so she probably could’ve thought that through better. Even Ryunjin gets more visual comments because of her androgyny and being generally hot tbh. And sweet Lia is 😍. Yuna is lovely but I’ve seen her face in a commercial for some collagen products a thousand times, you know? It’s a basic face and that’s not the type of pretty people like unless they want someone for basic things like being the eye candy or a simple role where the clean cut look is the main thing. I’m over scrutinizing to you probably because I’ve studied media but I’m not saying it in a mean way. I’m saying how she’d be evaluated by casting directors in entertainment. People like a face that’s beautiful but uniquely so. Most famous supermodels are like that because they don’t look like anyone else, not because they’re conventionally attractive and meat all the standards for Korean or western beauty. That’s not stopping anyone when they pass Vogue. That could honestly be it.
