This isn't an overwork issue. It's the altitude cuz when you higher up you have less oxygen. And they said they're sleepy because of jett lag

you're telling me they danced that well despite being dizzy?!?😭 i love itzy sm, they're sooo hardworking omg. how tiring it must to be on tour all the time, and they're not even half way through. ylu have to constantly adapt to the new environment and then jet lag on top of that. they don't even have time to adjust to jet lag bc they stay in one place for like 3-4 days. i can't even go outside when im jat lagged, but these girls have to rehearse, dance and sing live? i hope they get a break from their tour before continuing ngl. and i'm glad lia isn't joining them honestly, tours are wayy too tiring, she deserves her rest.

Seoul Elevation: 125 ft above sea level. Mexico City, 7500 ft above sea level. Huge difference in oxygen.

The higher up you go, the thinner the atmosphere gets. That means breathing in the same amount of air gets you less oxygen than at a lower altitude. Altitude sickness happens when your body has trouble adjusting to the difference in how much oxygen you're getting with each breath

This location is crazy. When Idle performed here, Shuhua collapsed on stage and almost fainted. She had to be helped off halfway through

The most insane thing is, that this was a thing of 20 minutes. But now, on world tour, they also performed in Mexico FOR 3 HOURS. I was so worried for them and I was glad no one passed out.

Thats exactly why professional athletes go to Mexico city as early as possible to get used to it before their matches. I remember my fav hockey team did the same thing when they played against Colorado in the playoffs. Its one thing i really wish kpop companies would take into consideration since in general they try to get them there with just enough time for rehearsal then performance then leave to their next destination.

Even formula 1 cars have to be adapted to get better air flow to their engines. The fact that they could perform well besides the difficulties shows how good they are

Sometimes u feel fatigue, but at the moment u dont feel it. It’s the aftermath that’s worse everything comes crashing down. Kudos to these girls tho for the hard work.

As a Dancer that performed in Mexico all i can say is i hate performing in Mexico 😂 i can perform 3-4 songs in a row in Korea but in Mexico more than 2 will end up in hospital literally

Should've taken an extra day to acclimate to the altitude. You can get very dizzy on a moderate hike if you aren't use to it.

Overwork is not actually the problem here. They're averaging about 1 show a week on this tour. Mexico City is just a notoriously difficult place for people to put on concerts because the air is so thin due to high altitude (7,300+ ft). Bogota is a challenge, too. The Itzy girls, like most Koreans, have no experience with such high altitudes. Even people who've climbed to the summit of Mount Halla in Jeju, the highest point in the country, are still lower in altitude than Mexico City. Until you've had the experience of literally not being able to catch your breath because there's no oxygen, it's hard to explain how it feels.

​@@warren_r to add to that, i moved from sea level to a city 2k feet lower altitude than MXC and it took me weeks to fully adjust. Itzy are doing phenomenally given their timing.

did they have an acclimatisation phase before preforming? if not that is very poor judgment on jyps behalf as whenever you go up to altitude you must do it slowly and give yourself time to get use to the altitude.

This is from last year's music festival in Mexico 🤧🙁. The girls are currently on a world tour without taking any breaks. They must adapt to different time zones and weather conditions, which must be exhausting. Even sadder is that they will start preparing for their next comeback after finishing the tour. Damn, Jype🤦🤧🤧😠
