Insect meat has more protein than beef, pork, or poultry so its very much plausible for people to make a protein powder out of them or use them as an alternative or replacement for more traditional meats in the near future. As long as the insects eat clean feed like just plants, then they pose little harm, maybe an upset stomach to an unexperienced one

मलाई सलह किरा भनेको के रैछ र कस्तो हुँदो रैछ भन्ने मनमा खुल्दुली लाग्थ्यो । आँखिरमा नेपाल मै सलह आईपुग्यो र देख्न पनि पाईयो । यसको प्रजाति लोकल रुपमा नेपाल मै पनि छँदैछ जसलाई दोम्माक (फट्याङ्ग्रा भन्ने गरिन्छ्) । वास्तवमा विदेशी भाषामा चाँही सलह भनिँदो रहेछ । र भर्खरै युटुवमा प्रसार भैरहेको भिडियोमा बडो अचम्म मान्दै सलह खाइयो, खाँदा हुने रैछ्, पकाउँने तरिका यस्तो रैछ भन्ने गरेको पनि देखेँ । वास्तवमा यो दोम्माक (फट्याङ्ग्रा) नै हो र यो नेपालका केहि मङ्गोल जातिहरुले यसलाई पोलेर वा तेलमा भुटेर खाने चलन पहिल्यै देखिइ छ । खेती किसान गर्दा हाम्रो तरकारी तथा अचा नै यही हुने गर्थ्यो ।यो सलह पनि त्यही हो । खासै अचम्म मन्नु पर्ने कुरो छैन । तर भिडियोमा बेस्सरि अचम्म, अनौठो र लाजै मानेर वा मरिन्छ कि, केहि हुने होकी भन्ने किसिमले चर्चा भएको पाउँदा चाँही मलाई हाँसो लाग्यो । दोम्माक भनेको चाँही बन्तावा भाषामा फट्याङ्ग्रा भनेको हो । र यो विलकुल खाइन्छ है किन अचम्म !
