Controlled by a complex network of cells, each and every human on the planet is kept running by an unseen operating system that is, for the most part, completely ignored. Though humans never give much thought to how they manage to function, day in and day out, the cells within the human body are constantly at work, doing their part to keep their human alive and well. Which is why on the outside, Kim Yu Mi (Kim Go Eun) may appear to be just like every other single working woman in the world, but underneath that ordinary exterior lies something truly extraordinary.
Having recently suffered a painful breakup, Yu Mi’s love cells have fallen into a deep coma. While the surrounding cells work hard to revive their fallen compatriots, Yu Mi spends her days stuck in the grind of everyday life. With a heart still broken and no romantic prospects, Yu Mi’s love cells might have been in serious trouble had it not been for the sudden appearance of Goo Woong (Ahn Bo Hyun). An emotionally stunted game developer, Goo Woong has no idea how to express his true feelings, but after meeting Yu Mi, he finds himself wanting to try. With his own love cells unexpectedly sparking Yu Mi’s back to life, things between the two start to get interesting.
With both Yu Mi and Goo Woong’s cells working overtime, the two find themselves drawing ever closer. But will the efforts of this small collection of cells really be enough to bring two hearts together forever?
Adapted from the eponymous webtoon written by Lee Dong Gun, “Yumi’s Cells” is a 2021 romantic comedy drama directed by Lee Sang Yeob.

I am an Ahgase and i was watching yumi's cells only for Jinyoung and i was dissapointed that his role was not that big but i am really excited that he is a main character for the next season , can't wait

I really can't wait for a week also so much excited like her cells.
I hope they make a season 2 because I was upset they broke up but I think she fits better with Jinyoung who likes her alot.

Very disappointed in last two episodes. Done with Yumi cells. Writers got off track. Wung needed a better part in episode 14.
I hope there is a 3 bc it was so vague at the ending. Is it me or these writers leaving you to figure stuff out.? I don't like these incomplete endings.

It was one of my favourite kdramas up till second last episode... Every time Yumi broke up with BaBi, it looked irrelevant and absurd How can she deny his irresistible charms and sweetness... She just left him on the basis of her own lingering feelings for Wung or any other lowkey man out there🙄 I wanted to avoid blaming the writer but the story as is ended nowhere Hey Yumi's cell Chhakka-nim! You disappointed us😞
