I understand they don't want to nerf units too soon. But come on Hwayoung needs some parts of her kit toned down. They are literally making units to counter her, but she counters the counter.

Eeeh, she doesn't really counter the counter. Yulha removes ai Hwa as a threat completely. YD was just being dumb with his picks here lol. You have to play turn 2 style and let her Hwa s3 though. Then Yulha is free to s3 anyone she wants while Hwa will be less than half health. Can finish her off with Yulha or choose another target and mop Hwa up with the rest of your team. Hwa's are basically free win's on defense now. RTA on the other hand...

@@Khaoticsuccubus I was refereeing to RTA. The units made to try and stop her do a horrible job if the person isn't just down right horrible at the game. Hwayoung just flat out needs a nerf in some aspects of her kit. The game will be harder to balance if they are trying to make a unit that completely counters her. It is much easier to tone her down

@@wardengordon9029 Yulha wasn't designed to counter Hwayoung for RTA. If she was, she would have a different kit. The fact that she's green and Hwayoung is red should have hinted that. If you want to deal with Hwayoung, you play Cleave, Aggro, or Control or a mix of those play styles. The other play style protect S. Tene and that also works against Hwayoung. Hwayoung is designed to deal with the tank meta, which I find far more obnoxious to play against.

Yd pairing her with ftene Made it so hwa didn't do her S3 first turn and couldn't enable yulha

I went 1000 bm's to get dupes...and she ended being completely useless vs anything not hwa in gvg/arena.~~ I mean, people just stop using hwa on def, its like basar/hyufi situation he plays her wrong tho lol. Do NEVER cc or skill cd her, cause if she s1>s3 you die xd

maybe it's the artifact, i use her own artifact because the barrier pretty much makes it impossible to one tap her and raises her dmg.

Actually really easy. You're not supposed to taunt hwa turn 1, so Yulha takes hwa s3 with full hp + barrier (she survives with decent hp if built well enough), then reflect dmg + yulha s3 to finish off hwa or someone else and heal to full. It should be played like the krau vs violet match-up just with a few different stipulations.

By being earth you can always trick the AI (just don't bring another earth unit). AI Hwa will always attack your Yulha becaus she is earth -> Yulha survives with less than 30% HP, triggers passive an pushes herself and oneshots either Hwa or another threat on the enemy team. Just don't use her in World Arena lol

The idea is Turn 1: Hwa uses S3 on her and Yulha reflects like 4-6k dmg then pushes herself Turn2 : she nukes the hwa with her s3 and goes back to almost full hp

Okay but it seems to be way too risky cuz I seen some people using her and Yulha most of the time dies to Hwayoung attack. Even for YDCB who has insane gear it seems like a huge gamble if she will work as a counter or not.

@@kingofbel6499 That is because those people don't know the HP threshold needed for Yulha when trying to bait Hwayoung. Yulha should have 28k to 33k HP. YDCB has insane damage gear, but HP/Defense gear? Not sure if it is similarly insane. Most of his heroes are made of paper. The gear on his Yulha is not that crazy, you can call that relatable gear. For reference, my gear is no where near YD's level and I have a 30.5k HP Yulha with 177 speed.
