Oh, another bit as well. It's no mistake that Kenjaku reveals his open barrier domain in the fight, as it was called 'divine' during Shibuya. Once again, this links Kenjaku to the divine.

In a series like jjk where strong individuality is affiliated with strong powers. Do we believe that yukis sense of individuality is likely tied to her godlike control over gravity, but perhaps the thing preventing her from becoming capable of utilizing that gravity/mass manipulation on others was her loyalty to her sense of self caused her to avoid the alienation gojo and sukuna experience. She was her self so she was strong but she chose to be someone who could still connect with people so she could never be thes strongest and never sacrifice her humanity to walk among the strongest.

I've been saying similar about Gojo. I don't enjoy him as a character but I would say that the story talks about selfishness being strength and Gojo stopped being selfish (not killing the higher ups, becoming a teacher instead) and could be blamed as to why he wasn't strong enough in the end

Yuki is technically the strongest character in JJK because her black hole can devour everything, even if it is the size of a grain of rice, it would still be enough to destroy the Earth. Unfortunately, her morals stopped her from creating a perfect black hole and this led to her ultimate defeat

True, among the four special grades, she's the only one who have shown to have the destructive power of a planetary level. The rest, Gojo, Geto/Kenjaku, and Yuta are just city levels

It find it unfortunate that her fight with Kenny was so short. She is suppose to be one of the best RCT users she could have taught a thing or two to alot of students.

Great video essay man!!!! The theming in stories is the most beautiful, emotional part of a story imo. You conveyed the beauty in Yuki’s character so well

I am so glad for this video, i have been wondering about the connections with hindu scattered in jjk and i am glad somebody pointed them out. I find the big 3 of jjk : kenjaku, tengen and sukuna to be very symbolic of the Trimurti : Brahma( creator, kenjaku), vishnu (preserver, tengen) and shiva (destroyer, sukuna). Going from this we have tengen, who is a shadowy figure who “preserves” a system in japan where all the bad juju (cursed energy) doesnt go away but instead keeps simmering. Vishnu functions with avatars-in jjk the star plasma vessels- who are used in a sort of opposing manner, they are absorbed back into her for keeping the status quo. The last plasma vessel who was “rejected” and had a particular connection with tengen is yuki- Gautama Buddha- the last avatar of vishnu yet. Here is where my amateur hindu-buddhism ignorance needs some more info. From what i understand gautama buddha has many different sources of interpretations, but in vaishnavism mythology, Gautama Buddha worked on a different approach regarding the spiritual fights of devas and asuras? There is the idea of systemic chance, somethink yuki applied and worked for in her life refusing to work as a sorcerer but trying to change the status quo. Also, the last avatar of Vishnu yet to come- Kalki- fits very well with the endgoal of jjk rn : final merger of tengen with humanity.

holy shit, this analysis completely opened my eyes to yuki’s importance and her connection with choso and yuuji. i always loved her and knew there was something very special beneath the surface but could never quite articulate what that was, however this video covers it perfectly. subscribed with notifs on, i’d love to see that vid mentioned comparing toji and maki’s parallels and their struggle with the zenin clan!

Yuki was the only opportunity for Todo to return into the story. Neither did he surpass his teacher, met her again or heard of her passing. With Yuki's level of power, everything seemed possible.

Great analysis. People keep robotically saying Yuki was a bad character, had no impact and also was Akutami’s misogyny writ large. Thankful for analysis KZreadrs cutting through the chaff of the masses with precise intellect. Another thing people overlook is her general philosophical questions Akutami asks with her, and her influence on Choso and the rest of the cast off screen with her soul research that influenced their game plan for the current raid.

I fully believe that yuki could’ve taken out kenjaku if tengen wasn’t down her ear telling her not to do things because she wasn’t strong enough, Kenny’s domain was oppressive against her and I think she could’ve at least tried to use her domain. The only reason she couldn’t go all out was because tengen was there

I got a valid OC theory on this I thought of yesterday. So the woman 400 years ago that Kenkaku used and forced to birth the death paintings She originally went to the church for help because she was already pregnant by a curse. That death paintings hasn't been accounted for, Choso and his brothers are ab**rted f*tus, and to take form they are fed to someone. I propose that Yuki found the 10th and put it into a child Todo. Doesn't gotta be Yuki, but would explain the 'coincidental meeting' and brothers connection. Or the original death paintin is what Kenjaku was trying to recreate and that's why he calls the others failures. Ken mayhap had a child with Yujis dad and then fed Yuji a death painting. Really sus there's 10 paintings I guess and no answer for the 10ths existence Finally: the merger will be the ultimate death painting, but this time, carried to term. Tengen, and Sukuna, 2 evolved humans as the parent (the merger is a strange name, no), and humanitys blood mixed in (this is basically how the other paintings were created.

Off subject, but why isn't it obvious to people that Geto is probably cursed by Kenjaku after hidden inventiry? I know he's got every reason to be sad, but just look at how unhealthy he start looking instantly. It reminds me of Kenjaku during some parts of the culling game where u can tell he's immensely tired from the weight of the binding vows he had to set up to establish culling game
