I always felt a bit sad for Xiaoting because she doesn’t have another Chinese member in the group to talk to. I think she was also hoping to debut with another Chinese trainee but it’s really sweet of Yujin to learn Chinese to speak with Xiaoting!

@@CrisOnTheInternet no it wasn’t. an even ratio would’ve been nice but before the show even started airing they announced there would be no set ratio for the lineup and any number of trainees from any group could debut.

I mean yujin had a clc chinese member so i suppose she also did so back then

Yujin always had Chinese speaking members, so it's just natural that she knows even a little bit of it

aside from the things said being really basic phrases, i don’t think she learned mandarin bc of elkie. elkie is most likely more comfortable in cantonese than mandarin since she’s from hong kong. yujin is learning mandarin for xiaoting

@@sumspingZ although it might be a different situation, all Pentagon members know a bit of mandarin (they have had chinese interviews, what's different is that Pentagon has 2 fluent mandarin speakers), so I am spectating Cube might give Mandarin lessons

Just so you know elkie is from Hong Kong. In Hong Kong, we speak in Cantonese whereas as most parts of China speaks in mandarin like Xiaoting. Despite Mandarin and Cantonese are both Chinese language, they have totally different pronunciation and grammar. So Yujin definitely learned Chinese for xiaoting but didn’t pick it up from Elkie.

Xiaoting has the brightest smile when Yujin speaks her language, Yujin is so caring I can't 😢

This is why Yujin is my bias shes such a great leader and her love for being an idol really draws me to her

them being so cute, adorable and chaotic at the same time 😂

Having different people in a group is like able to learn different languages and break that language barrier, moreover it’s faster to absorbed since there’s always communication in-between themselves unlike learned & no one to communicate with😅😂

I’m learning Chinese and I understood almost all of that! Yayy, and Yujin is so precious for learning to speak better with Xiaoting

Xiaoting and Yujin are the cutest couple hands down

Elkie spoke Cantonese more than Mandarin when she was active as a CLC member

Elkie is raised in Hong Kong so her Mandarin is probably not good enough to teach Yujin😅

@@amamiai Elkie can speak Mandarin , alongside Elkie also make friend with Tzuyu as well they both best friend too , Xiaoting teach Yujin Mandarin is still good for it

@@amamiai im still not familiar with which speak cantonese and mandarin, but isnt she now lives in China and speaks Mandarin, so her Mandarin is already good for her to teach Yujin probably.

@@andybee1510 Her Mandarin should have improved AFTER she left CLC and went to mainland China. Still her fluency can't match a native speaker like Xiaoting.
