No one plays Rachmaninoff 3 like Yuja Wang. Utterly wonderful, her face, hands and body divinely and blissfully filled with passion - just look at her face, she's gone! She's in another world! She's in a world that's inhabited by the great Sergei Rachmaninoff himself, and I am totally convinced that this is how he wrote his Piano Concerto No. 3 to be played. Thank you so much, Yuja Wang I utterly love and adore you. ❤

Wow! .. what a smooth amalgamation of the orchestra and the virtuoso of piano. Yuja plays with so much passion but tempers it with a real tenderness, beutiful

YUJA BRINGS EVERYTHING TO THIS PIECE…….SHE IS UNBELIEVABLE, HER PRESENCE, TALENT POWERFUL PIECE FROM RACHMANINOV…..YOU SEEN AND HEARD IT ALL!

I have a gripe about the video director - Yuja's hands - wonderful, but my ears can hear them; what I missed was - MUCH more important, to be close to the spirit, the heart, the soul, of this amazing artist - in her expressions as she dreams Rachmaninov's magic to that deep level of total bliss.

I wish I could buy the video of her performing this with the BBC Proms. I looked everywhere. I'd pay 50-60 dollars for it. Can't find it. Not listed. BBC Proms says video is not available. Can't they sell it?????

この曲特有の、オケとの絶妙な調和で一気に膨らむ世界観があんまり感じられない気がする個人的に 彼女の技術には文句ないけど

確かに素晴らしい技術ですね❗所々「うーん凄いなぁ‥」と感動する一方、いつオケとズレるかとハラハラしました‥😅

I compared the performance of her and Horowitz. I've to say: Horowitz is way much better. He is much closer to Rachmaninoff. Rachmaninoff's inner turmoil (also from the environment, the era) cannnot be understood by shallow souls, like Yuja Wang or Lang Lang. What the modern performers lack is culcutre, reflection, and depth.

Of course any orchestra can sustain the melody at 42’00” at this slow tempo, but here it’s too slow for the PIANO to sustain. Rachmaninoff played this section must faster on his recording. If it’s played too slowly it remains earthbound, never soars, and at worst, falls apart. I have tickets to hear her play this in Philadelphia on Feb 5. I’ll keep you posted!

Rachmaninov thinks he has to be a man. You're still a woman, so your core is kinder. Music is difficult.
