Man Chazz was much cooler in the Manga he used a Dragon deck instead of ojamas plus he actually defeated Jaden once.

I find it ironic that he only face Jaden two times in the manga and he actually won once but in the anime he faced him six times in the entire anime and didn't even win once

Justin Jones Granted in the anime whenever Jaden beats Chazz in the anime it's usually a mega luck sack top deck like that time Jaden drew Avian when the field was back at zero.

That's pretty much any main character from any yugioh show but I get what you mean I just wish they would have gave Chazz at least one win like in season 4 when he almost defeated Jaden but the TV guy told him to lose on purpose

1 year later in rising rampage we got a "better" Light and darkness dragon: apollousa bow of the goddess. Also eclipse Wyvern is banned

One of the coolest effects imo and one of the best artworks. 100% in my top 10 fav cards of all time.

Oh man, this video brings out so many memories: I was a very dedicated player during the GX era, and Raida was easily one of my favorite cards: the monarchs variant with him and the D-Hero engine was absolutely insane! The video was really well made and accurate, I would only argue that, even if Phantom Darkness really pushed the magical Explosion FTK with the Cyber Valley Turbo, that deck was merely an evolution of the old Diamond Dude Turbo deck based roughly on the same strategy, deck which saw a bunch of play for months before Phantom Darkness was released. Nevertheless, very good job!

I was waiting for another Yu-Gi-Oh story! I thought you had ended this series. I absolutely love that this is the card you do, hands down my 3rd most favorite monster.

Great video. This really shows how great the mangaka who made the gx manga is at great card design. Mezuki, gozuki, Valhalla, all of the Omni and masked heroes, thunder king rai-oh, the vision heroes, man, awesomeness stuff.

Cap, please do more videos like this! I love learning about the history of the game!

To be fair LaDD and Manjoume Thunder in the manga are the reason we got Chaos Dragons. One of my favourite decks of all time. The guy who did the GX Manga should have done many many more he was really dedicated.

This card helped me in a Shonen Jump duel. Played it in Quickdraw Synchron and it locked down a Demise OTK deck. This will forever be one of my absolute favorite monsters

Thank you for this history lesson I really enjoy these videos and like hearing about things from before I joined the competitive scene (which was necroz and dragon rulers)

This card can see play again if an archetype can search this. Closest deck that can sort of do this is Zefra but I’m sure the normal summon would have already been utilized and the deck already makes insane boards

Mr Tobi1018 dragunity did it with no troubles at all. Very easy to get atum out to drag remd to drag out ladd. But I used to use him as a loop in that deck.

No one talks about the mini-loop because the mini-loop did nothing. You just ended up in the same place you were at before LaDD blew up. You gained nothing.

Kenny H was it called SJC DC and took place in College Park, MD at UMD? lol I played Volcanic return(don’t ask it was really bad) because I couldn’t finish my LaDD zombies in time. Finished my LaDD zombies about 3 months later crushed everyone.

Ah this card used to win me some great games back in the day, love it!

Technically, you can run it in Lightsworns if you play the deck with Fairy Tail - Snow And Eclipse Wyvern. I have a friend who has this kind of deck, he can easily build a board full of Lightsworns and easily search Judgment Dragon or Punishment Dragon by merely using Fairy Tail Snow and Eclipse Wyvern on Turn 1 or 2 (If the milling gets it right, but his deck build has a good ratio of getting them pretty fast).

I love *LaDD.* I remember when I had a LaDD stun deck and it had 3 Skill Drains and 3 Trap Stuns

LADD cannot be pendulum summoned since he cannot be special summoned at all. BTW: LADD also saw play in Monarchs from 2010 onward. I think other reasons he is not been played today that often are: - His negation is mandatory and exactly once per chain => your opponent can play around this e.g. by letting LADD negate an upstart goblin and then chaining an out like a raigeki break or solemn strike. - He blows up your entire field (mandatorily) when he is destroyed and sent to the GY => it is a mind game for the LADD-player how many cards he should leave on the field If we combine these two aspects, your opponent could also make you blow up your own field using your LADD and then follow it up with an OTK (unless you have something like Battle Fader...).

I still like LADD and currently I tech it in Chaos Dragons that I use for casual games. I usually get it with Eclipse Wyvern that was send to graveyard from top of deck by one of Lightsworn monsters that was then used to special summon BL - EOTB or some other Chaos monster.

Thanks to LaDD I was able to play in tournaments in 2011 with friggin' Frognarchs and win consistently.

I still run this guy, he legit wins games still.

STILL MY FAVORITE ALL TIME DRAGON!!!! I run this card with *Jinzo* and *Spell Canceler* for my *Terrible Trio* combo, since the other 2 can be special summoned.

So I have a story I was at a locals and this was when phantom knights had just all come out, well I had break sword on board and used its effect and targeted itself and an opponents card, both were destroyed and I activate break swords effect and target the materials in my graveyard to summon as level 4 My opponent said that I couldn't target them because they are not in the grave at the time of break swords effect activating, even though I had 3 of our judges rule against him and say it was legal, he asked then why isn't Light and Darkness Dragon a valid target for its own effect? Well we all looked at him like he was crazy and then I just opened my binder and showed him my playset of LAD and just pointed at the first line of text on LAD, his eyes went wide and said that my LADs were fake and our judge went online and got the official text and showed him and he said we were all retarded and then scooped and dropped and left Haven't seen him since

I loved this card when i was a kid it was one of my first cards and i used it with almost all of my decks back then(bad children decks btw)

If it wasn't for the fact that it can't be special summoned, LaDD could have some synergy with Divine Felgrand. Blow up your field, ss Felgrand, kill a monster, bring LaDD back at full power. That might also mean there'd be another way to consistently bring it back; even though I can't think of one |D

Can we get a story about Dragon Rulers? I just recently got back into the game since 2007 and I wanna know why they all got hit.

It hasn't really fallen its still pretty busted the only thing it can't respond to is chains, but any stand alone activation gets negated which means if you go first it can be an issue

I don't think we'll ever see a Nomi 2 tribute card ever be powerful again, unless a Chaos themed anti Nomi special summon card is released we won't see vanilla LADD become popular, it might end up on some side deck tops if Chaos Dragons ever gets popular again, I would love to see an improved retrain, and that would absolutely she play with how versatile vanilla LADD is
