back in 2013 when i got the original fire kings structure deck i thought that was it we weren't getting anything more. so as the years went by and back in 2023 it was announced we were getting a new fire kings structure deck and it left me in a state of shock and i knew i had to get it and so i did and it was amazing.

this is very nice build. haven't considered Dark Hole but it looks like a very good tech for Fire Kings. thanks for the video, I've been waiting for that!

Yep that’s the way I went about it, was lucky enough to pull an ulti big welcome and used that to get a nice stack of staple cards

You can defo add in kaijus, I prefer to keep them to the side unless I specifically build for go 2nd. In regards to slumber, your better off with dark hole as it cant be stopped with ash and does the same thing for you with a bit more imo.

3:56 my friend uses it for poenix because it dies and she can reuse it again. She basically uses it to do a delayed search.

Would small world be a good option for extra ways to get to ponix? I thought about this and found that ash blossom can bridge into any fire king in the deck. You can reveal any fire king in you hand, banish the ash from your deck then get ponix or any fire king you need. Would it be a good idea to try using small world?

I considered it during tear format but really didn't find it as effective as I'd hoped, it's OK, would depend of what you plan to use it against crow is considered more rounded as getting rid of cards can be better

It works the same as called by in a sense so it would be the first thing you play to protect from hand traps like ash and droll

yeah it kinda fell under the same application as IP as each copy is approx £10 here so made the budget a little higher than desired.

@zephyrwargamesyugioh I don't mean to be annoying or argumentative for no reason but it's been under $4 since a week after BOL dropped. I'm very familiar with the market for this card cause I bought like 10 of em when BOL dropped and have been watching them ever since. Also have you checked out the Superheavy Samurai version of snake eyes? It's basically full power(adding 2 bricks) for under $200. Highly recommend!

@Xx3SPAZxX sadly it wasnt that here, after BOL dropped it did crash but then went up to £8-10 a copy annoyingly. I have seen a few versions of SHS floating around haven't tried them yet tho.

@@zephyrwargamesyugioh you introduced a Fusion monster that is not Fire King archetype around 5:40. For additional examples you introduce more non-Fire King archetype monsters @ 7:10 which makes this deck tainted, not pure. That's fine, many people do that cuz they are focused on winning, just pointing out that this deck is not pure.

@unknownname8591 understandable, its tricky as the community consider pure decks to be this way as sometimes there isn't a full extra deck, in archetype and pure is highlighted/considered as built in a competitive way, sadly most "pure themed" decks either don't have enough to fit a full deck or just can't be played in a competitive sense at all sadly.

@@zephyrwargamesyugioh Ohh I understand now, thanks for explaining and you are completely right: I mean there are cards that can definitely help create a pure Fire King deck, or even a hybrid deck if you add Nephthys archetype, you could even create a pure Fire Attribute deck that just happens to have mostly Fire King monsters. None of those decks would be as strong as the one you shared on your video and so not many people would be attracted to these type of decks, only OGs I guess... I just love pure themes even if these decks are weak, it's just very nostalgic, that's just me tho.

This is still technically Pure Fire Kings. Millennium Eyes Restrict is only a target for Instant Fusion, which is a helpful single-turn monster negate to help out your pull off your plays.
