Nãke
is the daughter of Txana Ikakuru, who also carries the ancestral lineage of the amazon forest wisdom. Her royal forest presence teaches us to wake up the pride in our soul, always presenting ourselves in the best manner. Her father taught her ancient chants and amazing forest rhythms, accompanied by the guitar. It is now the first time Nãke is coming to Europe. We are taking her to explore the beauty of our lands and expand her vision of the world.
Txana Ikakuru
lives in his native Huni Kuī village, Boa Vista, which is located deep in the Amazon rainforest along the upper Jordão River, in the Acre State of the Amazon Rainforest of Brazil. He is the grandson of Romão Sales who was one of the main guardians of the sacred and ancient Huni Kuin chants of Nixi Pae, and grandson of the 105-year-old Master Kaxinawa Shaman Mukaya.
Txana Ikakuru was chosen by his elders to carry the ancient Huni Kuī lineage of the sacred chants of the Nixi Pae & the healing knowledge. He is the Spiritual Leader and Pajé of his village. His knowledge on medicinal plants, sacred chants, and healing arts is vast, and works extensively with the youth of his community sharing the knowledge of their culture and ancestry. He is renowned in his tribe and world wide as an important conductor of Nixi Pae and a great singer. He is the founder and president of the Yube Inu institute where he works together with other villages and tribe leaders to promote projects for the wellness of his people.
As a conductor of Nixi Pae ceremonies, he is respected for his dedication, seriousness, and tender care with which he transmits and perpetuates his culture. He is also the founder of the Yube Nawa Ainbu school in his village where studies of forest medicines and spiritual diets are conducted. He learned the traditional chants and prayers with his grandfathers, the very ancient guardians of knowledge, Ikakuru and Txana Romão Sales Tuin. Txana Ikakuru is a messenger of this new time and frequently travels to share his people’s culture and spirituality in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas.
Huni Kuī
Within the villages of the Huni Kuī people, traditional festivals take place. This is a moment that brings together the whole community and several guests from other villages to celebrate cultural activities. Baptisms, diets, dance, rituals, typical food, and art workshops are all part of living their traditional culture.
Off of the Jordan River, the region of Acre in the Amazon is home to the Huni Kuī people. Pajé Ikakuru and Family are coming to Europe to invite you in an experience of cultural exchange and spiritual healing. There will be days of cultural programming with traditional body painting, baptisms, healing rituals, celebrations, a handicraft fair and lots of joy.
